Donald Duck
Tonga Toast Killer
Kona Cafe for Tonga Toast is an absolute MUST, and so is having breakfast at Main Street Bakery...you can't go wrong.
Whispering Canyon Cafe - unless you are going Nov12 thru 20... then you should pick a different spot
Seriously - go there, and ask for Hickory's area One of the best CMs on site
When it comes to dining there are no slow times. Make reservations as far in advance as possible for any and all table service dining you intended to do while at WDW.Well, we plan on going between November 19th to November 23rd. Is it busy during that time?
We're not big buffet fans... we do them just for the characters, but when it comes to recommending breakfast based on food, they don't come anywhere near the list. And not all that long ago my rankings would go as follows:
Boatwright's (winning in a landslide)
Kona Cafe
Spoodles
Concourse Steakhouse
Grand Floridian Cafe
But... with the loss of Boatwright's, Spoodles and the Concourse Steakhouse I've had to adjust. I really hate that they've killed so many good breakfast spots. The new list:
Kona Cafe
The Wave (they have delicious spinach and feta scrambled eggs)
Grand Floridian Cafe
I have only done Two table service breakfast, usually just grab something quick at the resort, but the two that I have tried I loved! The first was Ohana, and that was basically a love for the characters, the juice and the yummy bread stuff (cant think of the name!) and we went to the Crystal palace which is a must do for me now since I LOVE LOVE LOVE Biscuits and gravy, and sicne the resort I have always stayed at stopped doing it, I was sooooo happy to see it at the buffet table!!!
If you like really good coffee get the 100% kona press pot as well. It is a fresh ground 100% kona bean coffee in a French press pot. Without question it is the best coffee on property. It is about $8 but you will get several cups and they will give you a to go cup so you will not have to leave a drop behind.
it depends on what kind of breakfast you are looking for- fast, sumptuous, etc.
Most of the time we eat in the resort food court and have a quick breakfast. Pick out whatever looks good that day. It's fast and at your pace. Then we head for the bus stop to go to the park.
Sometimes we do a character breakfast. Always one or two each trip. Crystal Palace is a favorite, particularly with an ADR before the park opens. 1900 Park Fare is a smaller version of Crystal Palace with different characters and sometimes a few more upscale buffet items like lobster Benedict.
Chef Mickey's is fun but noisy. Food is great with many selections. They even have Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Tusker House for breakfast is good. Hard to get reservations.
Have fun.
