I'm not going any further than my kitchen.

Bob wants me to cook but I don't want to do the whole meal. My family is soooo picky I would cook what Bob and I like but no one else would eat. Then they would be fussy until I got them something.
Plus I wouldn't see my family.
I am selfish.

Thanksgiving is all about family, and you're blessed to have a close one.
My family is very small. I have only one sister who spends the holidays with her son's family.
Besides...I'm used to doing dinner here. I'd miss it, I think.

I have had it 2 times. Once before my sisters had families of their own and once here and then we went to my parents. I didn't get to enjoy the meal that time.:lookaroun

In the past, I have gone shopping on Black Friday.
You get great deals and my sister and I always made it fun.
But I don't have a lot of shopping to do for Christmas these days, so I don't need to fight the crowds anymore.
So, I usually decorate the house for Christmas on Friday.
The rest of the weekend...whatever comes up.

Bleh. it's the weekend, and where is Marc on one of his precious days off? Working at his parents on a clogged sink. and has been since 3:00

He's barely seen his girl this week at all. Work's been awful. He's not sure if he's going to have a job thanks to this new restructuring, and if he does have a job, he's not sure what it will entail or if it has any hope of advancement.

He didn't have a choice.

Man I hope so. It's awful watching him so down and out. And then I feel guilty complaining about how poorly I'm feeling these days.
