...something that comes with experience, (or is it age), is that certain things in a relationship are required to be classified on a 'need to know' basis....it's not being dishonest or mistrusting.....there is too much that can be misunderstood, misconstrued or misinterpreted...AND if seemingly understood at the moment, will undoubtedly be thrown in your face during the very next argument...

I've been married for over 30 years to the same lady. Faith and trust is the key. I thought Peter Pan taught us all about that! Don't lie or "hide" things. If my wife "searched" my computer to discover if I had emailed or communicated with someone, I'd drop her like a hot rock. Also, she should do the same to me if I doubted her veracity. If you can't trust your girl friend then dump her and find someone else you can trust (and visa versa)! We don't argue because we don't lie!

Very well said Talsonic! John has NEVER ONCE accused me of anything at all and neither have I him. There is no reason for it. We respect each other's privacy (though we do share an AIM sccreen name, since we talk to all the same people anyhow) and neither of us does anything that, if found out, would get us into trouble.
Life's too short as it is.
Ken-Oh-Ki, has your GF maybe been hurt by someone in the past? Not that she should take it out on you, but it might explain that insecurity.

...I have nothing more to say in this thread...don't know why I ventured outside the 'Ryan' thread where at least some semblance of a sense of humor remains....

Sense of humour?
Every word said on that thread is deadly serious!
And to the original question: Tell her to stop being paranoid! (But a bit gentler than that!)

LMAO...there ain't nuttin funny about a guy who can't spell the word, "humor."
...paranoid?...are you talking about me...you're always saying that about me aren't ya?...I know you talk behind my back about my paranoia...I know you do. I'm not paranoid so stop telling all your friends that I am.:hammer:

...ya have to admit that the introduction of the internet has tested the lines that one can cross without violating the spirit and commitment of a relationship...seems to me that those lines have to be determined by the individuals involved...not by some self-proclaimed morality cops.
...it's tough on kids today when the standards of behavior are constantly changing...after all, we had a President who redefined the definition of s e x...and with it went a change in the definition of fidelity too...where do you find a role model on the internet?
....I only buy "Playboy" for the articles, ya know!

Actually I LOVE the net!!! Im EXTREMELY SHY!!! If someone saw me at the movies or something and wanted me to start a conversation with them... I couldn't do it!!! The net is kinda like a shield for me to get to know someone without me being so shy.
I´ve seen that happen... more and more people have told me what you just said. Maybe the internet is not that good then because it´s not allowing people to take the chances of overcoming that "shyness"(?), and with the excuse of being shy to meet people, they sit online for hours looking for strangers who don´t care ifthey are shy or not... they are just "online people"...
And I figured that if my cousin could meet his present wife on the net and be happier than I have ever seen him, then it wouldnt hurt to use the net to meet ppl.
I'm pathetic right there with ya buddy. Phones are the Devil... I hate them. I would much rather talk to someone with IM's then with earpieces and microphones.Oiginally Posted By MajinBuu-
