Dates: October 15th through October 28th
Yes there will be pictures. We are going to start at the begining and work to the end, so Sandy doesn't make much of an appearance until the end.

So our honeymoon vacation actually started on October 15th around noon. We left from Houston with our car packed up to the brim with our luggage and ourselves. We had decided to drive straight through to Lake Buena Vista, FL. We were going to be staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, Pop Century.

Since neither Chad nor I had actually driven there before we were unaware of what we had gotten ourselves into. The drive started out innocently enough, there was a whole lot of flat land followed by a stop at the casino. We are proud to report that we left the casino a little richer than when we stopped. Thank you Chad! I wish that I had a pic of the chips. I don't know when we will be back to the casinos.

We left the casino and continued on our way. There were miles and miles of swamp. Yep that is right SWAMP! I didn’t realize how much swamp land there actually was.

We quickly made our way through Mississippi and Alabama. By the way there is a great part of I-10 that is in Mobile, AL which goes through a tunnel. That was, for whatever reason, exhilarating! It refreshed both of us.

The next stop was Tallahassee, FL at a Walmart. Cause when it is late at night and you need a rest stop and to walk around...Walmart is open 24hrs. We didn't take another stop until we reach our destination Pop Century Resort. And by the time that we arrived we were starting to get delirious and cranky.

That is probably why that was the only picture that we got during out arrival.

We had arrived at about 10am and I wasn’t completely sure that they were going to have a room available. But we went ahead and stopped at the front desk. They had a room available, a two bed, the CM said that there would not be a King bed room until Thursday and that I could call back at that time and see if it was available.

We went to the room (which was in the 90’s building) and moved in and promptly fell asleep. We woke up two hours later and we headed off to Hollywood Studios. Woo! Thank goodness that we just needed to walk and catch a bus, if we had not been at a Disney Resort we would have had to drive and it would not have been a pretty picture.

What a great visit to Hollywood Studios. In high school I was always the one who was wanting to ride the rides at amusement parks multiple times. As I started gaining weight that was something that I did less and less. So the last time that we were at Hollywood Studios I rode the Rockin' Roller Coaster and loved it! My anniversary pin however did not ... at some point during the ride it opened and stuck me. So I was not too excited to ride it again, but I had already made a commitment to Chad that I would ride the Tower of Terror since I chickened out at the last minute on the previous visit.

We made our way to ToT. And the wait time said that we would be waiting about thirty minutes and it was pretty spot on. We got on the ride and I started having some second thought about what I had gotten myself into. I was sitting on the front row, left side right next to the aisle. I put my safety belt on and didn't think about much except trying to anticipate the drops. We started the first drop and my purse and my bum went flying up. "OMG I am coming off the seat!!!" is what I thought as my arms flailed around. Chad must have realized that I was panicking because the next thing I know as we are headed back up the lift he wraps his arm around mine. After we finished the ride, he turns to me and asks "weren't you buckled in?" Of course I was buckled in, they wouldn't start the ride if I wasn't buckled in. I told him that the belt was loose...Apparently I had gotten the belt that was not meant to lock. Then he asks me if I am shaking. DUH! Of course I am shaking. So we went and sat down in the smoking area behind the fruit stand. I certainly needed a cigarette after that experience. Now as I look at the photo you definitely cannot tell that I was shaking as bad as I was. I am sure that some of it was from the stress of driving from Houston to Lake Buena Vista. ;)

Ahhhh, the drive from Houston! We usually save the casino stop for the drive back since it helps with the sadness. I also love going through the tunnel in Mobile! Don't know why, but I love it. I'll have to remember the Walmart in Tallahassee since we're making the drive in a about 2 weeks. Can't wait to read more!

Hey guys I am sorry I have not posted more this week. I work at Apple and with the recent releases and holiday season gearing up we are very busy. I will be posting more on Wednesday.

Whoa, intense Tower experience! Personally, I'd be thrilled if I had a non-locking belt (gettin some sweet air, dudes) but I can see where it would be shocking if you weren't expecting it!

Glad your drive was uneventful and you made it safely - congrats on the wedding, trip, and first TR (now get back and finish it!) :)
