Getting caught taping attractions you aren't allowed to tape.

Videotaping

I would think any park would have the same problems with cameras and videos.

1) In a ride that jerks you, spins you, moves fast, makes you go up side down.....I think they are afraid of the item falling out causing injuries to another person or worse hitting the track and causeing the ride damage that could injury many.

2) In some dark rides it is meant to be in the dark for a reason.
Some people turn on lights that effect the ride and will give other guests less enjoyment from the ride.

Now I don't have a problem with video taping or taking pictures but if you are in ......Alien encounter and turn on lights the effect is gone. But in COP turning on a light doesn't really effect anyone.

I was in Haunted Mansion and was video taping without light and someone 2 cars ahead had the lights on his camera. I could see things with the lights on I wouldn't in the dark.

I also forgot to add this...

In the American Adventure, they used to forbid video taping to keep the dignity of the show.. Now, you can video tape, but the make a point to say use the eyepiece only... darn camera's with LCD screens....

Yes! Some idiot was using his video camera light in CoP! The light didn't even hit the stage, and did nothing. Half way through the show I had enough and asked him to turn it off. He said fine and put his whole camera away. :brick: :hammer:

If you're gonna use a light, use an infrared light, like Sony's Nightshot....this can actually be a bit of fun, because you can see things never intended to be seen.

Some examples:

The recent "repaint" of JII
The guys in black bodysuits who do the animals at fantasmic
Voyage of the little mermaid (whole new show!)
Haunted mansion (pitch black coridoors are wallpapered for no reason)

My dad has a Sony nightshot camera. When we saw the Little Mermaid show I realized that there are probably people in black suits so I turned it on and started recording. Also I tried SE when you get to the part with the Earth but it was to dark and by the time I realized to use slow shutter it was to late.

I didn't know Jurassic Park at US didn't allow taping. I taped it in May with no problems. I did hear Jaws didn't allow taping, but half way through the ride, I noticed a woman up front holding her camcorder high up over her head right in front of the girl driving the boat. She didn't say a word. (So I didn't have to hide mine anymore.:D)

I have nightshot on my camera. It really is cool! I recorded the Haunted Mansion with it, and it looks that much spookier with the night vision. :)
I also tried to get Space Mountain with the nightshot so I could see the track, but it didn't really turn out very well. :(

I remember reading somewhere long ago that when nightshot first came out some people were taping Space Mt with it, and were told to Turn Off Your Light, Their night vision cameras picked up their night vision light. I was loughing out of my chair when i read this,

Sorry if this is aknoying, or off topic

Bad idea. Some dark rides use their own infared system to tell where vehicles are and also use them as sensors for emergency use.

I would advise you not to use this feature on any Disney Attraction as it may complicate your, and other guests, rides.
