Oh? And what would that be?

Lizzo and Jack black hamming it up on a Star Wars show. A show that is a follow up to a low rated cartoon where the characters aren't establish, very little happens, it contradicts the themes of existing Star Wars and it's build up for something else and so very little point or purpose happens.

I agree that a number of Star Wars fans did not care for these things. But I'm sure you're aware that there are lots of fans of the animated series (assuming you're talking about Rebels/Ahsoka) and the lore behind it.

The point is, there isn't one single Star Wars fanbase and we don't all like the same things (and even what we like, we like for different reasons).

I, being a lifelong Star Wars fan since the original movie back in '77, loved the Clone Wars and Rebels. I hated Resistance but loved Ewoks/Droids and I even liked the Holiday Special when I was a kid. I don't dislike the prequels. I wish they would have come out a little differently. I loved most of the EU books and video games. The sequels, to me, where bait and switch. I won't rewatch The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker is painful because I know where the original ideas came from. I enjoyed Mandalorian and Ashoka but thought Andor was boring. It could have been any sci-fi spy show. Obi-Wan was just plain bad.

"Simply put, we will answer how and why did the ‘Holiday Special’ get made.”

I can tell you why: It was sponsored by coke.

Dave Filoni has been named Chief Creative Officer of Lucasfilm.

“Now I’m what’s called chief creative officer of Lucasfilm,” Filoni tells Vanity Fair, which places him into the development process much earlier and in a much more expansive capacity than his previous advisory duties. “In the past, in a lot of projects I would be brought into it, I would see it after it had already developed a good ways.”

"Filoni will now work more directly with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and alongside Carrie Beck, a veteran producer turned head of development, to originate and shepherd the next generation of Star Wars shows and movies. After spending many years involved in the creation of Star Wars animation, including the Rebels series, he became increasingly involved in live-action as a producer with Jon Favreau on the The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. “In this new role, it’s opened up to basically everything that’s going on,” Filoni says. “When we’re planning the future of what we’re doing now, I’m involved at the inception phase.”"

So this just makes it official what was rumored like 2 years ago. He is the Feige of Lucas.
