This isn't Disney, this is Sony and part of their Sony Spider-Man Universe.

And while I know you're joking, Madam Web actually plays a large role in the Spiderverse.
Yes, I was joking and also poking fun at those around here who react negatively to everything even when they don’t know what they’re talking about.

While I understand they’re supposed to be set in a shared universe, I hadn’t seen definitive confirmation that Sony’s live-action Spider series (like Silk, which I think will be on Amazon Prime) will tie in (w/actors or characters) to their live-action Spiderverse films (like Madame Web). Possible I missed something!

I find it interesting Lord and Miller don’t seem to be attached to this film at all, as they’re working with Sony Pictures Television on Silk and Noir.

What is it about Dakota Johnson that I'm missing? She keeps getting work as an actress.

I've yet to see her facial expression mimic a human emotion.
Dakota Johnson has given great performances in smaller indie-drama-type films. Unfortunately, she's most known for Fifty Shades of Gray, which was not her best acting work. Kristin Stewart has a similar issue where she's given many good performances in small movies no one has seen, but her most high-profile films – Twilight and Snow White and the Huntsman — feature her worst acting.

Yeah its been reported for awhile now that they are all interconnected, even the series.

I'm not sure how much of an audience there is for some of these though.

Sony working on Spider-Man Noir series on Amazon -

I was going to groan at more Spider-verse spinoffs until I saw it was the showrunner for The Punisher.

I'm in! (But wouldn't it be great if they got Nick Cage to do it?)

Kristen Stewart's best acting was in Zuthra.

Deadline is reporting that Disney has confirmed the company has parted ways with Jonathan Majors after the guilty verdict today.

"Jonathan Majors is out of the Marvel Studios kingdom. The news comes in the wake of the Primetime Emmy nominated actor being found guilty of reckless assault and harassment in his domestic violence trial by a six-person NYC jury.

A studio rep confirmed the news about the decision not to move forward with Majors in the MCU."

Sad for all involved, but I think this is the right decision. I loved Majors’s performance as Kang(s), but I believe there should be no tolerance for abusive behavior, regardless of how much was riding on his participation.

Of course, they’ve had enough time to come up with alternative plans, so I’m excited to see where they take the story from here.

They’ve also stopped referring to it as “The Kang Dynasty” and instead are calling it Avengers 5.
Delay it. Give Doom, F4, and mutants time to ripen. Then go right into a Secret Wars duology or trilogy with Battleworld as the focus. The idea of having two unrelated Avengers movies (Kand and SW) seemed too cumbersome anyway.

In the comics, Kang keeps popping up throughout history in many ways, and also, unrecognizable as Kang until he goes full-on-Kang on the world.

I would suspect a "hidden Kang" in upcoming content, much like hidden Skrulls. And an unrecognizable hidden Kang can certainly be played by a different actor.

They can certainly go the "variant" route and have Nate Richards show up in F4.

Hope that means another Black Panther and Shang Chi movie.
I think it means Avengers, X-men, Spider-man, Doctor Strange and maybe Black Panther. Shang-chi will probably be featured more.

We will probably see She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Ant-man and the Eternals get sidelined. Not entirely scrapped, but I imagine a lot of the future plans for those characters are being reworked.

Have no idea what will happen with the Young Avengers as they are clearly being set up, but I don't think a movie with them will perform well unless they shoehorn Spider-man into the mix.

I suspect we'll hear more at Comic-Con later this summer on future plans for some of those characters.

You missed Fantastic 4 - I think for now, the movies will focus on Avengers, X-men and FF. Spiderman as well. Those will be the main focus, and I think they just roll in new characters as joins for those main movie titles and stop the individual intro movies they have done in the past.

I was shocked (but thrilled) to see that the official revised MCU timeline now includes the Netflix shows! 😍

When did that happen?! Have they always been there since the shows were added to Disney+ and I just missed it? Or is because they're bringing so many of the Netflix actors back in the new shows?

But where are Agent Carter (the series) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?????????????
