What were your funniest moments when you went to WDW?

Mine was when I met Mr. Snee. I had my Water fan thingy. He saw it so he asked me if he could use it. I gave it to him. He cooled himself off for a few seconds, and then he sprayed me with it! I thought that that had to be the funniest thing that ever happened to me.

And how about Cap'n hook? He stole my pen for the autograph book, but eventually gave it back to me.

The character meal or meals that we had when I went (with the Champaign, IL Park District) were hilarious!:ROFLOL:

 Great thread!

While we've had many funny moments, one of the funniest has to be this one time on ToT with a terrified 8-10 year old boy on with us.

He was very scared and nervous about what the ride actually consisted of so he asked his mother, who seemed to be familiar with it. He said "Does it drop?" And she said, "No, Honey, it just feels like you're dropping." I knew it was going to be bad as soon as she said that!

So we're on the ride and it starts off fine and we go up and begin to drop and suddenly, he was not fine at all! Although sad (because he was so scared), it was hysterical when he started screaming "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!"..
Funny because 1)we all know that it is only a Disney ride and nothing to fear and 2)because he was raging at his mom for lying to him!

Ahhh fun moments... we even have our ToT drop photo with him screaming with his mouth wide open in the background! I hope he has recovered and is on speaking terns with his mom :lookaroun

I hate when parents lie to their children. I was at MK and there was a young boy getting a little fussy with his mom and she told him, "If you don't be good, Mickey Mouse is going to ask us to leave." I was about 20 feet away and I started yelling, "That's not true! She's a liar! He won't ask you to leave!"

There are a couple that I can think of and they both involve my son.

A couple of years ago we were seeing the Aladdin, Jasmine and Jaffar and when we got to Jaffar he took my sons baseball cap. My son refused to ask him for it, he made me go ask.

The other was this past December we had won Dream Fastpasses at Epcot, and when we were having our picture taken with Mickey, he made a big thing of it, and them took my sons hand and started to walk out meaning he wanted to go use it with him. We all laughed at that one.

Haha the funniest moment ive ever seen at wdw or anytime for that matter, was when it began to rain so we went inside mexico and rode the EL Rio De Tiempo. Me and the misses are que'd to ride the very front we get on then some people run up at the last second and got on, the last 2 rows were occupied by larger than average people when the ride was dispatched and the platform lowered i noticed me and the misses beginning to elevate. Before we knew it the people in the back two rows were screaming as we began to take on water, i felt so bad but everybody was laughing so hard it was hard not to laugh with them, anyway they were able to stop us before we set adrift, that has to be the funniest thing i have ever been apart of.

That doesnt sound that bad to me. I mean, if you want to be picky about not lieing to children maybe she should tell him what mickey really is under that costume....

The last time my family went Jafar was a cut-up with us too. For at least five minutes, he didn't want us to take his picture but kept sneaking up behind us when we were getting out picture taken with Aladdin or Jasmine. Funny stuff. :p

Yes! I hate when they lie too...especially when he's going to figure out the truth because he's riding it...? :brick:

Two funny moments from our trip.

After Goofy autographed our boys' books, he made the pen disappear and didn't make it reappear until after the boys started looking for it.

We were the first in our group to visit the Princesses in Mickey’s Toontown. We met Cinderella and Belle. Our third Princess was Sleeping Beauty. Before the boys left Belle, Princess Aurora lay down on her bench to take a nap. We told the boys that they had to wake her up. Neither was really excited to give her a kiss. Our 2 ½ year old walked closer to her and told her to “wake up.” That didn't work. After a bit of coaxing, and the idea from the photographer, our 4 year old, blew her a kiss.

last time we were there we went to the character breakfast at the Poly. Well we were waiting for the characters and my husband and son were looking at pictures on our camera. Stitch came up to us, and was behind my husband with his head about two inches from my husbands ear, and he was oblivious to it. My 4 year old was facing him and started giggling. My husband just assumed he was laughing at the pictures and didn't think anything of it. I asked for the camera and he tells me he is almost done. I just give a head nod in stitches direction, my husband starts to turn his head, sees stitch, and nearly jumps 10 feet off his chair!! I don't think my son and I laughed so hard ever!

On my honeymoon we got in line to meet Pocahontas and Meeko and Meeko kept trying to pull me away from my husband. He probably just wanted to see if I had any food :p

When we were entering Animal Kingdom we got in line to have our bags checked and Chip and Dale came over and took over for the security guards. They looked through our bags, in our mouths, our ears - they were probably looking for food too!

When I think about funny moments in Disney Wrold, I always think of these two moments first:

A few years back, my mom, sister and I had just arrived in the world, and decided to go to Downtown Disney for a little shopping. Well, just after we boarded the bus, the little girl in front of us told her mom that she had to go to the bathroom. Apparently she had to go pretty badly because by the mid way point of the trip she was screaming over and over again "BUT I HAVE TO GO POTTY!!!" It was hilarious, and we nicknamed them the "potty people". Then we saw them EVERY day of our trip and kept bursting out in laughter every time we passed them in the parks!!! :ROFLOL:

The second one was last spring break. It was my first trip to disney with my boyfriend, and we were at the character dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern. We sat at this little two person table right near the corner. We were just about finishing up and Goofy started to sneak up behind my boyfriend, he motioned for me to not say anything and all of a sudden, he rang this bell hanging from the celieng and my boyfriends face was priceless!!!!

Great thread!

Well, of course I was lucky enough to be sitting next to the telephone in Comedy Warehouse on a couple of occasions, so that was very cool (and it probably goes without saying...was also very funny)!

But another time was when we were canoeing at Fort Wilderness and saw an alligator. Having lived in California all my life, and even though I'd been to Florida countless times, this was the first time I'd ever seen an alligator in the wild,...and it was pretty close to our canoe. We hurriedly paddled back to let the CMs know that an alligator was wandering along the canals, and the response we got was something to the effect of, "Well yeah, this is Florida" (but in a friendly Disney way). Realizing we'd over-reacted, we went back out and got caught up in a torrential downpour and thunder and lightning storm that came out of nowhere. Once again paddling back as fast as we could, we returned our canoe and were fully drenched. I said to the CM "Wow, can you believe it?" and the response was (you guessed it), "Well, yeah, this is Florida".

Pretty funny!

About 2 years ago my friends and I got on a bus to go to Downtown Disney from Old Key West, and our bus driver Laurie was SO funny! She told so many jokes as we kept going to each stop, and after she would drop off some Guests, when we had to turn around to pass them, she would honk the horn and blink her lights and wave to them! lol As we got closer to DTD she asked us to sing a song, so me and my friends start singing "The Wheels On the Bus". She started laughing and making up her own version, such as "The driver on the bus goes *beeps horn 3 times*" and "The driver on the bus goes *blinks inside cab lights over and over*". EVERYONE was laughing and she was very very funny, we had our picture taken with her. =)

I love it when the drivers do something special like this. It's truely one of those little things that help make a trip magical! :sohappy:

I don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about

I think what they're saying is if you're going to get involved with what a parent tells their children just because you don't like what their saying you should just tell the kid that mickey and friends are just people in costume.

parents tell kids all the time that if not their not good santa will bring them a lump of coal, same premise.

Unless a parent is screaming like a maniac at a kid or blatantly abusing the kid it's none of anyones business what they tell their child.

You...you mean Mickey and Santa aren't real.....

Anyways, we was at the Haunted Mansion and while standing in line my wife was looking at the grave stones. You know that one that opens its eyes, she saw that one at that moment and jumped back. I was behind her as she started going back and so I grabbed her and went "Boo!" She screamed really loud but it was funny. The CM in line said to us, "Now scaring the life out of you is our job." The children in line behind us just had that wide eyed look on their faces like, "What did he say?" But it was all good.
