Easy cop out. The same can be said of Hoth too.
I give up. I'm just going to wait until the thing reopens.

Greedo will shoot first.
That was apparently the MPAA's fault. They insisted on Greedo shooting first or else they would have bumped the New Hope Special Edition's rating to PG-13This made me laugh. Well, George had to make Greedo shoot first in his enhanced trilogy, or Han would always be tainted for shooting first and asking questions later.
Why?
Well then does it take place after the original trilogy?
They built another Death Star?
Didn't they get the message after Return Of The Jedi?
It is not all that far fetched. Many of the places that we consider exotic high end vacation destinations are full tilt third world countries with all the associated dangers if you wander into the non tourist areas.Endor being part of the travel video sure is interesting when you consider how backwater the planet was before the Battle of Endor and how full of danger it was between the Sanyassan Raiders and all the monsters and stuff.

Oh how I wish you were being sarcastic.Let's leave Jacksonville out of this.
This ride originally incorporated the Death Star Trench scene just so that the riders could experience what everyone wanted to experience after seeing A New Hope for the first time. I don't think that it was added as a realistic addition to the Star Wars story. Do you really think that G.Lucas wanted a third Death Star destroyed by REX as an actual part of the Star Wars story? I think we're missing the point of what role the ride plays in the overall story, and that is to say, NONE. This isn't POTC. It's not the ride inspired by the movie, which then inspired the movie or anything like that. It's simply letting the riders experience the Trench scene as if we were Luke.
George has approved worse additions to the Expanded Universe. And Rex didn't destroy the station, the X-Wing in front of him did.
The ride does contiue the story of the events after Return of The Jedi.I'm probably going to get flamed too, but I have to say this.

Worse additions?? You mean Jar Jar? I don't know.... Rex ranks right up there with Jar Jar. At least Jar Jar didn't help destroy a small moon..... wait, that's no moon, it's a space station.

That's the reason we are going to Endor in the first place. To see where the battle took place. There was a 3rd Death Star built by the way so Star Tours does continue the stories and doesn't exist in an alternate universe.
No, I'm talking about crap like the Yuuzhan Vong War, which had Chewie being killed by a damn moon in the first book and started a whole "GRIMDARK" era in Star Wars books that reached it's peak with one of the Solo kids going Sith Lord.
