Why?
Well then does it take place after the original trilogy?
They built another Death Star?
Didn't they get the message after Return Of The Jedi?

The Emperor wasn't put down completely after Return of the Jedi. He has a ton of backup Clone bodies and it takes several years before he's killed permanently.

Not to mention the Imperial remnants led by people like Thrawn.

I see. I'm sorry for my ignorance. I've only seen the 6 films. So I don't know what happens in the clone wars or after jedi.

I'm on Team Indiana
But thanks again

It will always be MGM :).
Are you sure? I called them yesterday on my Cingular phone when I was watching the Sci-fi channel and the CM called it Disney Hollywood Studios. I also went on the internet Backrubbed it and did a search on Jerry's Guide to the World Wide Web and sure enough it too came back with DHS. Maybe I need to run a scan on my Computing Tabulating Recording Corporation based PC using Network Associates anti virus program and see if there is a problem. I'll just sit here and have a Brad's drink while the scan runs.

The moral of the story.........names change. Roll with it.

I'm rolling. I've always called it MGM since I first went there. It's just a habit. I sometimes call Dinosaur Countdown to Extinction.

You are incorrect. According to a 'tour' video that was posted, one of the three destinations will still be Endor. The three choices were Tattooine (sp?), Cloud city or Endor.

Those aren't the actual destinations. That was just an updated version of the video in the queue. The current equivalent is roughly the same. It can be seen on the big screen in the first indoor queue room.

Thats funny, I sometimes call Dinosaur 'pile of crap'.

Regarding the pilot--during the Disney/Star Wars merchandise panel at Celebration V, they showed some concept art of the interior of the Starspeeder 1000 cabin, with a different-looking robot pilot.

According to the Imagineer speaking at the closing of the attraction Saturday night Star Tours 2.0 will be a prequel attraction occurring between episodes 3 and 4 hence the new Starspeeder being the 1000 (the current one is the 3000).

Well, all I can tell you is what I saw in the 'commercial' for Star Tours that was put together by Disney.

Just because it wasn't featured doesn't mean it didn't exist.

Alderaan did not exist after episode 4. Therefore, the ride takes place before episode 4.

Easy cop out. The same can be said of Hoth too.

I give up. I'm just going to wait until the thing reopens.

Hope I don't get flammed for this....but when and where it takes place, does that actually change how the attraction will be perceived??
