My source in Imagineering came through again with this interesting mockup :cautious:

I understand its a mockup and all, but I do not like that ice outside (I think they are trying to get rid of that waterfall for good) but I do like the inside pic... and I love the possibility of retaining the name Maelstrom with the frozen adventure add on? I wouldnt mind that so much. It wouldnt be such a kick in the Norwegian gut if they kept the name Maelstrom. With that said it still shouldnt be happening at all in this location of course.

Idk if any of this is legit or a joke. Someone please explain.

The photo mockups of the Frozen overlay are not really leaks from Imagineering , but rather a tongue-in-cheek reference to the many messages posted by forum members who claim to have insider connections (e.g. bus drivers). Hence the :cautious: and ;) emoticons in each post. They're also meant to parody the less-than-desirable-overlay direction that many of us fear Disney is heading toward. Hence their over-the-top appearance and intentional "cheesiness."

Joke. The picture with Olaf is an obvious photoshop job of the animatronic on the roof of the M&G in Disneyland.

Ding ding ding! Good catch :)

Did you notice Krisoff in the boat on the sign?

I think Disney is very clever. Just think how many people will be watching the announcement on sept 2 on ABC.

I have never wasted a FP+ selection on Maelstrom, so there's no reason for me to do it when the Frozen Makeover happens. It's just a matter of principal now, especially when standby times creep up to 120+ min.

Now, with the "purchasable" magic bands, I would like to say that if they're going to keep the "tier" system, onsite guests better have the option to select whatever they want. Ride times may be subjected to restrictions for crowd control, but if you want to select 3 FP+ for Space Mountain, you should be able to do so.

I'm going to guess that it'll be done like this in the future:
Villa/Deluxe - 6 FP+ selections: any attraction, any park
Moderate - 5 FP+ selections: 3 1st tier selections, 2 2nd tier selections, any park
Value - 4 FP + selections: 2 1st tier selections, 2 2nd tier selections, any park
Offsite purchased magic band - 3 FP+ selections: 1 1st tier selection, 2 2nd tier selections, one park per day
You know that purchasing a magic band just gets you a magic band, right? It just allows you to use the band instead of your card. Eventually, I suppose, Mr Potato Head will also call you by name, but your ability to get FPs doesn't change in any way.

According to my sources, the attraction will stay the same, but the guest experience will change.

Upon boarding, all guests will be handed a Frozen Fun Fan and asked to sing Let it Go for the duration of the voyage.

Over the next 18-months, ceiling tiles will be replaced and there will be extensive dusting.

Well, according to MY sources, guests will ride through a panorama of little dancing snowmen and snow-women, all singing "Let It Go" in various world languages. :D

Someone said on Instagram that Maelstrom will close on September 28th to start the new frozen ride.

However where are they getting this from? They say "it was announced" but all it is is rumor.
am I right? I've never seen anything official.

If this needs to happen please just let me ride Maelstrom one last time in October.

I'm getting really irritated. This CAN'T happen. Epcot is about culture.... Not movies

EDIT: the Instagram post is getting a lot of comments saying it's still
rumor. (Just as I thought)

No date has been officially announced, but its sounding like the month of september is the last chance to ride it as is.
