Only evidence I can see is World Showcase loosing it's identity and morphing into more of a Magic Kingdom. Disney finally decides to incorporate a hit movie into the parks while it is still hot and the possibilities are endless but what do they do? Take the cheapest route possible and it's met with thunderous applause and joy from the uninformed masses. Don't know if I'm more disappointed in TWDC or the people who call themselves true Disney fans.
what is a "true disney fan" anyway?

Not even close, further proving my belief

Um...

Note the bold part. It seems that you're implying that anyone who approves of this isn't a "true" Disney fan, or is a Disney fan in name only. If that's an incorrect reading, let me know and please enlighten us as to what you were getting at.

Sadly I can't blame the general public for thinking this is a good idea, after all what has tdo done to change their perspective on what should belong in epcot and what shouldn't? I wouldn't call them lesser disney fans, maybe less informed, but still fans nonetheless. Had epcot kept it's original charm and intent and continued it perhaps the general public today would have seen this as a poor move.

A person who understands that fast, cheap, and mediocre were exactly what Walt and his crew avoided in his vision to make a truly magical place. Don't give the people what they want, give them something they had no idea was even possible. "Magic" is a word that gets tossed around too freely nowadays in the Disney community. It's meaning (in the Disney sense) meant more than just having a good vacation or riding a ride. It was earned through creativity and imagination of great men and woman who showed the entire world amazing things. Now all it takes is for them to build a new restroom and people's minds are blown.

I wasnt trying to create some.barrier. we are all Disney fans. But Some can admit that WDW isn't being maintained or expanded in the sense of what it originally was founded on. And others don't care if it's foundation is chipped away at because they can't wait to see the latest movie in a park, any park, right now, even though it deserves more than what it will get and they are capable of doing more but why should they, people don't care if they don't so they will continue to lower expectations.

Exactly. Since NONE of us here can predict the future, let's actually wait until everything is finished before we start claiming how horrible the new Maelstrom is.
Don't really need to wait.

Shoving another cartoon into Epcot is bad enough. One as large and valuable - as this IP apparently is - deserves its own purpose built area with a top-notch ride designed especially for it to boot.

So Screamscape claims FP+ is not available for Maelstrom from mid-August on. Anyone know the dates? Perhaps this could be the closure for the Frozen update.

This exactly sums it up. I don't understand why it's difficult to understand why some people don't like this idea. It's been spelled out by a number of people. If you like the idea that's fine. It's your right to an opinion.

Are there plans for the expansion pad between Mexico and Norway? They could give Frozen its own attraction by expanding into that spot if they wanted to. It's not like they're running low on expansion pads in WS

They'd rather shoehorn it into an existing building then actually build something new. It's a shame they have that mentality. But yet they had ideas to build a Princess grope there. Amazing what the priorities are.

Sadly, only a few recognize this mentality. Others need to "wait and see" how it turns out. Turds usually turn out brown. I can take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I got spare time.
