Frozen Ever After opening day

Since the lines are not out of the park, then if they are able to run at 500 ph then I guess the concern over it not working with the expected crowds were grossly overestimated by the group in the know. The fact is that no one is reporting longer then expected waits and broken or stopped service now. For all I know it might still be having problems, but, I am certain that we would be hearing it constantly.

Was there today on a thursday don't let anyone fool you the lines have been just as long as it was for the second week of this ride's operation. The line was outside of the building, something tells me this is going to be the new norm for this ride for some time.

Seems like word from the front may answer the question.

And funnily enough I just checked the app. 910am. Temporarily closed.
I believe they have reduced Fastpass+ distribution as a result of this down time. I wonder if they base it off direct reports of what they're getting for capacity over a long period of time. They've got a full month of data now and with downtime I could see it averaging 700 per hour.

When I did my fastpasses yesterday morning right at 7:00am, nothing for the morning time the days I plan to be in EP...a few for afternoon...still some for later evening last days in September as of today. I said forget it...I'll take my chances sometime in the afternoon in standby if it doesn't look too crazy...however, for Soarin and TT there are still fastpasses at the 9:00-9:30am hour.

Ten minutes later it was at 45 so I assume it was a late opener.

I didn't realize a subjective matter could be decided so quickly and decisively.
Well most of the gloom and doom came before they even started building it. The more positive have been since it opened where some have allowed for start up problems to occur. I'm no expert, but, I did expect those problems and based on other attractions (like TT) this seems to be coming along OK. More time will, of course, be needed to make that a completely factual observation, but, at least the latest ones have developed after it was built and not just forecast out of "location anxiety".

You can't compare this to Test Tracks problems.

Location anxiety as you put it will obviously continue until the next overlay, which with some luck will be more approximately themed to the environment. Until then it will continue to be in the wrong location.

Even if I do state the obvious.

Frozen Ever After is an excellent ride, the wait times are manageable, and Norway has never looked better.

The doom and gloom was way overdone.

Did you also say Harry Potter wouldn't be in Gringotts before it opened too?

Actually, yes:

What will hurt Gringotts is the use of live actors. That instantly dates an attraction. Also the fact that it is a Harry Potter attraction without Harry Potter(or any main characters from that series).

Got that wrong too.

I'm guessing that I missed something in the almost hundred pages of this thread, but do we know what is causing the ride to break down? Did they make any changes to the ride system itself? If it's the same boats in the same trough it seems odd that it would be breaking down more frequently than Maelstrom.

The ride trough is a few feet longer with new curves. I'd assume they also replaced the ride sensors and RCS or at least heavily upgraded it.
