That ship sailed long ago...
This succinctly sums up everything. I am so ready for this pavilion to open.

Curious, the original amount TWDC (you know, your employer) presented Norway with didn't signify anything akin to a "major refurb." Of course, they couldn't pimp the Frozen plushes, dresses, Photopass opportunities, and/or Olaf cupcakes had the pavilion actually stayed Norway. Or is that something you and yours don't like to admit openly?
The original amount was 80-85 Million, which is substantial.
Here's the ACTUAL definition. And it is not pronounced (sahy-ruhn). Not unless you're eating crackers or something.

siren

noun si·ren \ˈsī-rən, for 3 also sī-ˈrēn\

Simple Definition of siren
  • : a piece of equipment that produces a loud, high-pitched warning sound

  • : a woman who is very attractive but also dangerous (To any thread)

  • Siren : one of a group of female creatures in Greek mythology whose singing attracted sailors and caused them to sail into dangerous water or toward rocks (Well, you can kill a thread so.....)
This is obviously from a different source than mine. The definition I posted is what is behind my user name. Siren, as in silver screen siren. It is not inspired by Greek mythology.

The complaints about Maelstrom had nothing to do with Fastpasses, the DAS, or anything other than the fact that TWDC (your employer) decided to turn a real country into a fake one in order to sell a few more Frozen Plushes and cupcakes....
I never said it did.

No, they didn't turn a real country into a fake country. Norway is still right were it is, up in Northern Europe. If you want Norway, GO TO NORWAY. If you haven't, that means that the pavilion failed in it's goals to foster brotherhood and tourism. Do you want a failure in the parks? DO YOU?!?
This. Frozen has done more for tourism in Norway than Maelstrom had since its inception 30+ years ago.

Are there any citations for that? I know many expected a tourism boost, in the same way that Scotland benefited from Brave, but I don't recall ever seeing any numbers.

Er no thanks.

Joy and happiness was EPCOT Center. Not this mistake.
Oh Marni, joy and happiness is not mutually exclusive to EPCOT center.

You better stay far away from me because I will cheer you up so much that you will singing 'Let It Go' for me in front of the Norway Pavilion on one of those amazing videos of yours.

Now, go away before I say something else that I will regret. LOL.

Hey Matt, I'll find them and I'll post it here, later. Thanks for reminding me.

I'll go in due time, with little having to do with an area in a theme park that been turned from a representation of a real country, to one from an animated movie with Norweigan "touches" here and there....

Just when you think you'd seen it all...

Better watch out. She's going to cheer you up with her bubbly personality. o_O :banghead:

Oh sweet Marni, I adore you so much..... enough to warn you that she is most likely going to find you and cut your face off to wear it as a mask as she stares in the mirror telling herself she is an Ultimate Tribute.

Does anybody remember the scene in Fatal Attraction when Glen Close is flicking the light on and off as Madame Butterfly plays in the background? Thats how I picture Siren.

Please, say it.You're best off sticking to likes of me....

And what does tourism have to do with anything. LoTR was filmed in New Zealand, and it helped their tourist numbers, but no one is trying to sell it as actually being Modor or the like.

But, when you've got a company line to sell....

The amount TWDC went to Norway with was nowhere near 80 million. TWDC talking point, or is that your own personal load of b#ll#cks?

It was all done to the Ginger nothing to do with the Millions spent by Visit Scotland on the back of the movie release to advertise the worlds newest dictatorship.

I've been several times so what's your point caller?

Its very nice, northern lights are spectacular but you can see them from the utopian Scottish Socialist Republic anyway.

I saw them from an airplane in route to Iceland. Pretty, but, I like fireworks better. Nature is over-rated.

I picture Siren as some dude in his boxers, trolling the internet with his alter ego Patty Melt
