Frozen at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the summer?

Disney Auditions just went up in the past day or so for the Frozen Sing-Along for all roles and they are being held on August 28. Hard to believe they'd have auditions on August 28 for something ending September 28, so this likely seems like further fuel to the rumor that the show will stick around.
They are holding auditions on the 28th because the current contracts for the Anna's, Elsa's, & Kristoff's ends on the 1st. Per equity rules, they have to hold auditions in order to offer any of them a new contract. The original auditions for this event were held on June 30th. The people chosen had already been in for fittings & starting rehearsals for 2 days by that point.

The audition didn't include Kristoff on the call though. Did they pull a fast one?

I'm getting conflicting reports regarding a few things, hope to get clarification soon.

Frozen Sing a long - Some have suggested it moving to AIE to make room for Comedy Warehouse and while I have heard that idea brought up by some folks in my parts that decision hasn't been made. For now the sing along is set to stay in Premiere and Comedy Warehouse will be back in the Sounds Dangerous Theatre like it was 2 years ago. The actual closing of AIE is still fluid. The remaining cast knows the deal runs out January 1, but I think some folks in my neck of the woods are suggesting that it may close down sooner. Stay Tuned. IMHO i think Comedy Warehouse would be better suited for the AIE stage, but I digress

Anna & Elsa Processional at 11am Daily - while I've heard the sing along has been getting fantastic feedback, I've been told the Processional (can't call it a parade apparently) has been getting lackluster reviews. So much so they've had a handful of overnight rehearsals to try and find ways to tweak it. In the end I am hearing it is possible this is one element that may not last beyond Labor Day Weekend. Its possible those floats will be needed back at MK to begin the process of readying them for Holiday Parade rehearsals, I am not sure. No matter what if the para--errr, processional doesn't last, I would anticipate the middle portion of the show (when they end up at the Icon stage) to still take place each day at 11am, just without the parade floats.

Thanks as always for the great information, Bungalow, I do appreciate it. Do you know which of the theatres is the largest, AIE, Premiere or Sounds Dangerous? With the popularity of the sing along I think they would want to move it to the largest theatre. Having the show in the AIE theatre does make sense logistically but I kinda like the events being spread around the park a bit instead of clumping all the crowds together, but that is just my thought on that.
The Processional was OK, I saw it once, I am good. The Singalong I saw a few times over a few days when I was last there as well as the dance party/fireworks. Those I enjoyed much more. Oaken's is AMAZING, that seemed to be one of the more popular areas for sure. Do we think this is staying? Thanks again and have a great day! Marie

I purchased the premium package for Sept. 13th and according to the cast member on the phone, the Processional is still included. She did however state that events are subject to change. Either way I'll let people know what happened in my trip report.

I spent a few hours at DHS earlier today. Frozen is everywhere, which is ironic because it was still hot as ****. (rimshot)

I stayed for the fireworks since I had never seen this particular show before. The actual fireworks are awesome, but the storyline of the show was just "meh". The colors of the fireworks are so vibrant because they are closer to you than if you are at the MK. The last time I saw a fireworks show at DHS was in the 90s, so I had forgotten this. They really were beautiful.

I'm probably going to go see them again in the next day or two, but I will find a viewing spot around the lake on the left side of the stage. The little show they do on the stage during the fireworks doesn't do anything for me, so it's easy to skip.

There are reports on a few sites that the Frozen Summer Fun events at DHS have been extended until 2015. Can anyone here confirm?

There are some who have speculated based on some indicators (contracts, etc) that it might keep getting extended. One info source that I heard speculated that it would be difficult to continue into the xmas holiday season due to the logistics of some of the spaces being used currently creating conflicts with holiday events. However, it doesn't mean that they can't make adjustments to it.

I thought a Halloween party in August (very early September) was difficult to accept... a Summer party in December might be even tougher to accept.

Maybe the fireworks they could move, but wouldn't the other events clash with Holliday ones? If anything they could move the sing along into the soon to be vacant AIE building

I can see some entertainment continuing. (fireworks, singalong) some floats that are used in the frozen parade are used in the christmas parade. I dont see that lasting past sept 28th.
With AI closing they could be moving the singalong into the space.

The following paragraph was taken from the Chip and Co site today:

That’s right, Frozen Fans, if you didn’t make it to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer, don’t worry! DHS Management is pushing to continue the Frozen Summer Fun until 2015.

In order to extend the Frozen Summer Fun Live, “For the First Time in Forever: A ‘Frozen’ Sing-Along Celebration” will be moving to the American Idol space beginning in October. This Frozen Fan can’t wait to see the Frozen wonderland, shop in Wandering Oaken’s Frozen Funland and maybe take up ice-skating.

What site did they steal that from?

Yeah… That's skating rink won't be in soundstage one after 10/1. Unless things of change since last I heard…
