i've received word elements of this event will be extended until at least 9/28. Not sure which ones, but many of the rental equipment being used around the park has already been approved to stay at DHS until at least 9/28. Not sure if a formal announcement will be made anytime soon, just know that it's happening.
You called it! Confirmed today.

Please disney do NOT let the Frozen event go until October!

Well this kinda sucks.. I hope to god it won't still be there by the first week of October (Birthday trip then..) I'm really sick and tired of Frozen and Studios happens to be my favorite park..

;A;
Times two!:grumpy:

Then again... maybe if everyone is doing frozen stuff, waits will be shorter elsewhere?

So how will this work? We will be there on a Saturday when the park closes at 8 PM. Was planning to watch Fantasmic at 8:30. Frozen fireworks are at 9:45 - does that mean they are going to extend park hours ? Or is it the same as having Fantasmic after park closing and all the rides are shut down and we just mill around the area until the 'event'?

Thanks in advance!

Just got back and LOVED the event. They really did a great job with it and I'm glad they are extending it. Like others have posted here, a friend of mine in DHS entertainment told us the current rumor is AIE has two or three weeks left and then the sing a long will move there.

This is what I'm wondering, will park hours extend? That's all I really care about, ha.

Awesome!!! I would think park hours would extend as they cant really do the fireworks until dark, but I think this is one of those wait and see things. Marie

Just saw the news about Frozen Summer Fun being extended and I'm not surprised. I figured that was the deal when I saw the banners around the park just said "Frozen Fun" and left off the word "Summer." I finally had the chance to spend the day in the park and witness all the entertainment associated with the event and I had to say it made me sad. I did not think this was Disney World quality. I'm glad there are adults on these message boards who like Frozen Summer Fun but a lot of the people I spoke to said something along the lines "it was nice but the kids really liked it" and that wasn't necessarily what Disney was all about. I guess this is what the Disney that's all about dance parties is about. The Sing-Along was very painful to watch with DVD clips and very bad script writing. And all the other events just focused on the same 5 songs from the film.
This definitely was rushed and not a lot of imagination.

A lot of days are sold out already. We tried to get days between Sept 26th and 28th and all tickets were gone. That was 2 hours after phone lines opened.

It wouldn't surprise me given how fast the entire summer sold out, but when I got the party, it was located in a different section of the computer than the summer ones so you may want to call back and double check, just to be sure. Marie

Sooo, here's my question:

How much is this extension going to wreak havoc on my touring plan for a Sunday in September?
As far as crowd level goes. We are not planning on taking advantage of any of the events except for the fireworks (hopefully at the entrance/exit as it looks like that's a great viewing location;)). I can't remember whose trip report I was reading that said the benches at the front are a great place to view it or I'd totally give you cred!

@coachwnh can you shed any light on the crowd levels? (sorry, I know you are sad to be home:()

How much you think they could sell that dessert package for if it included an Anna and Elsa meet n' greet?

$105, if they play clips from the Frozen movie with it.
Add a narrator to tie the clips to a musical group: $150.

(Then again, I think Disney could charge $50 to get a bucket of ice dumped on your head, call it the Frozen experience, and still have that sell out.)
