MK Frontierland Shootin' arcade to close and replaced with DVC Member lounge

Disappointing but not surprising. I enjoyed the free shootin' gallery the past few years, but figured it was on its last legs and there wasn't much that could fit there -- small lounge for the DVC folks (not me) is fine. Except that I cannot imagine that there was no place that could have housed the lounge without taking away an area currently in use as an attraction. Stitch is empty. The area above liberty square where the muppets performed from. Back of Town Square Theater. Tommorowland Terrace. Aunt Pol's on TSI. The fire station on Main Street.

I don’t know the layout of Frontierland at MK very well but I imagine this is one more reason to believe some New Orleans mini land is coming to the MK?

If they use all of this space (basically the max they could assuming 1 story) they would get ~9,500sqft. Using 30-35 sqft per person gives us a capacity of 271- 317 people

Not sure exactly what footprint of the building it takes. but under just the glass pyramids is ~10,200sqft. Someone that has actually been in there, is this accurate?

It's basically just the big pyramid on the right, the rest is closed off for storage.

Unless Sunglass Hut drops its partnership, no way it takes up all that space.

Just open up the Tomorrowland Terrace to DVC during the day and you got yourself a lounge. Sounds like WDW is overcomplicating things again lol

Looking at it objectively the entire west side of MK is eventually going to be changed, even BTMRR which will get some sort of IP/Gift shop exit revamp at some point in the future.

Tom Sawyer’s Island is on borrowed time.
Arcade? Seems like a rumor but likely gone.

Adventureland? I can see almost all of it replaced, only question is how long it takes outside of POTC.

Liberty Square? I can see all of that replaced as well.

Note, these are simply hunches based on what is happening now.

Brayden has also made a comment I won’t post here due to it being a response to a politically charged tweet. He also seems to believe that they want to do something in liberty square.
