Friars Nook is a giant disappointment... There is nothing 'tropical' about Hotdogs and French fries, and thats what they serve... Carrot Cake for desert rounds-out the disappointment factor..

Oh well..

Maybe the hotdogs are made from tropical wild pigs?!

Eh, Fantasyland's food has gotten worse and worse.

WHY DID THEY GET RID OF THE PANINI AT VILLAGE HOUSE!:fork:

Sorry for the rant, but that was my favorite thing to get quick service wise at MK.:D

was hoping for a different place to get dole-whip...

Tradition of getting one in adventure land is good, but the lines have been very long my last few trips.

Did I miss something saying it was going to be "tropical"?

That just really fits in the tropical wilds of Adventureland. Plus to me if you can get it in a bunch of places its not as special. Its kinda like the merchandise. Years ago you could only get certain things at certain places. Now the same things are everywhere and even in the resorts and WOD. Im just happy as long as Chicfila and Subway dosent move in as it has at just about every other amusement park around the country. Its bad enough to have and see the Golden Arches.

It replaced FairFax Fries between Pooh and Snow White in FantasyLand

You've got the location correct, but not the name. It used to be called the Village Fry Shoppe.

Fairfax Fries is the McDonald's fry location on Sunset Blvd at the Studios. (It, too, is about to undergo de-McDonald's-ing)

I saw it tonight...it looked SO random. Why friar tuck? I mean hey Robin Hood is one of my favorite movies, but why use a random sidekick character from the 70's? I swear kids today hardly know who he is. I mean at least change it back to Lumiere's. Then you are sticking with the beauty and the beast theme...super strange choice.

Well, WDW's Fantasyland has a tradition of having QSR locations named after random characters. Gurgi from The Black Cauldron had his own QSR location for a while. Personally, I kind of like having a few lesser-known characters represented. I definitely don't remember hearing anything about it becoming tropical, though.

"tropical refreshments" were previously posted on here as the 'likely' replacement..

regardless, I'd say the new menu sucks... thats just it.. it sucks... Hotdogs and fries? No imagination at all.

Doesn't the little place by the tea cups already have 'tropical' type stuff? like smoothies? I guess they don't really need 2 so close together..

But yeah, i would like to see something else offered other than the same old fries and hotdogs, etc.
