Free Disney Dining Plan offer now available for booking summer 2019

Ok, I'm going to ask a question that I know everyone hates :p
Obviously booking for the fall must be up because this is being offered in the summer instead, most likely due to the Star Wars opening. What do you think this will mean for offers for early 2020? We are hoping the Stay, Play, Dine will be offered again in January 2020 but with a change in the free dining offer, its making me nervous!

After SW:GE Disney will be moving to a new pricing model where you give WDW your bank account credentials and they just take out whatever they feel your vacation was worth. Those with insufficient funds are trained to become the next wave of cast members.

October seems to naturally book itself. And Star Wars looks like work up to December.
Sorry, just so I got your thought correctly. You're suggesting that SW will be finishing up in November to be ready for a December open? If so, curious to know how you would know that? I hope you're right, but just interested to know if you have any insights or can tell by the construction photos and news? Thanks

A look into other threads would be beneficial on this topic.

I also think people were holding out. for a Star Wars announcement.

I thought for sure they'd give an opening date to Galaxy's Edge during the Christmas Parade on ABC. I think WDW wants to make sure the "fall visitor's" don't hold out for too long.....

Welcome back to work, Cast Members! Now enjoy crabby people who've been on hold for hours trying to book their *free* dining.

(Sincerely, I do hope those for whom it works out get the free dining and have a wonderful time.)

Just guessing looking at the aerials. Seems like a lot to do getting everything done with what you see outside plus the rides, etc with the size of the area. I’m going probably Halloween week regardless if it’s open or not. Personally it would be cool if it does open October. Just feels like an early December opening.

Plus, cast, AP, DVC and soft openings to work the bugs out. It says Fall od 2019 - it could be all the way up to December 20th. They are behind schedule.

From a business standpoint this outage is costing them millions. I’m sure the outsourced IT people are on it...penny wise nickel foolish.
This happens every time it seems like. Makes me wonder why they dropped all 3 discounts in one day? I can’t even pay my balance off lol. I was able to book early this morning but it only charged me the one night deposit. I am giving up for the day. Just thankful I was able to book and get what I wanted before it crashed.
