Yeah that makes sense but I guess visually that doesn't kick in until you cross under the archways. The fountain area and Spaceship Earth feel more like a hub than either east or west.

I know its a done deal viz a viz Starbucks. I think licensed vendors (to be differentiated from ride/attraction sponsors) in the parks is a bad idea. I like Disney theming vs. outside vendors we can see anywhere. If you like it fine. I also do not like Starbucks politics for whatever that is worth.

Their only public position is pro- gay marriage I believe. Not sure why a coffee shop needs to express an opinion on that issue one way or another but it's a free(ish) country.

I was there on Tuesday and can confirm this. I was shocked how much it was gutted. Sorry no pics as it was kind of pouring at the time.

No, there isn't. That place hasn't served McDonald's food since the partnership ended, it has the same food as every other CS now.

But isn't there a McDonalds on property near DTD? I know I saw it when I was there in January, but I didn't look to see if it was open or not.

Yes, that stand-alone mcdonalds near AllStars is still there - but that wasn't part of the in park deals.

I love Starbucks so my opinion is biased but just the thought of a good cup of coffee is enough for me to forgive them for closing Foutain View. We can get our ice cream somewhere else.

Its looking no different than every other city corner in the country. Dunkin Dougnuts to replace Innoventions next across the way ....... Someone yank down those poles and panels and wires already. Its not helping things any.

I don't think thats fair, honestly... How is it any different than an Ice cream stand with a giant Edy's logo on the front? Which is what was there before? It looks to me like there are a lot of outward improvements to the overall presentation on the building...
