Just a reminder... you're allowed to bring in your own food and drinks.
For now.

It’s extortion. But what choice do you have. When my family went last August I started every day loaded down with bottles of water in my back pack. In 96 degrees it’s a safety issue not staying hydrated. If you want to gouge people on soda so be it, but at least give people a break on water.

No WRONG...I have season tickets so it's more than a couple of hours, and the point I was trying to make to all you geniuses is that when you are a captive audience, they can charge ANYTHING they want...plain & simple. I'm not justifying the prices, I'm just saying that's the way it is. You guys are implying that the folks who aren't condemning this are "pixie dusters"...I feel just the opposite...the ones who think WDW shouldn't raise their prices are the REAL pixie dusters...BUSINESS 101...you make the most profit anywhere you can make it. That's how you STAY in business and remain profitableExactly why I bring an insulated water bottle to the parks. Although I do splurge on beer and/or a fancy drinky-poo at proper meals, when available.
Regardless, these increases are insane. Why should the airlines have all the fun robbing you blind? Throw in a trip to WDW to complete that fresh, fully fleeced feeling.
The difference is, you're in the stadium for 3-4 hours maybe? At WDW you're often there for a WEEK. That's a sustained barrage on the ol' wallet.
For now.
But the food is even worse! We might be fast approaching a time where a major surgery could be cheaper than a trip to Walt Disney World.
And at least a few DVCers. We try to pack at least one or two lunches on our trips, and always pack some snacks.I doubt it. Very little people actually bring in food, and it would **** off a decent amount of APs.
But TDO can be unpredictable.
$3.50 for a bottled water is disgusting. Shame on them.
$5.00 for a bottled water & 7.00 for a large soda at MetLife stadium in NJ...In the grand scheme of things, it's not that bad... I being 2 2 liter bottles with me from 7-11 into the park. The only thing I get is ice. The bottom line is, we as guests are captives (for lack of a better word)...Remember, tap water IS free at WDW...
I recommend refill mugs or keeping snacks in the room for those on a budget. Payroll just went up a good chunk so naturally prices follow.
I personally think the CM's are worth it and consider these increases their tips in a way.
Eh, I blame the DDP more than I do wage increases. Restaurant prices are through the roof and have steadily increased to appear that the DDP has actual value or is a "Good deal."
Yes and you're absolutely right...and my seats/game and my parking/game and my gas to-from/game and my PSL...so by your logic, the answer is, if you don't want to pay the prices, don't go...'NUFF SAID.do you go to met life stadium all day for 7 to 14 days? no didn't think so. see the difference? its all relative to scope and somebody ALWAYS brings up the sports stadium argument....yeah ok met life has you buy the b***s for four hours disneys got you all week.

Yeah. If I go to an NFL game I am also not bringing 2 kids and my wife and spending 8 plus hours there.reason i have never been to an NFL game. but i digress my point was that these prices seem more egregious when you might make 20 or 30 of them vs whatever beer or soda you might consume for a single football game. granted i know this could be alot.
I don't know, I'll have to wait for more data on the attendance level. this recent slowing could be caused by a number of things. not enough decrease to state that there is a correlation between the high prices and attendance.
