Well we tend to go every year to year and a half and when we're working i very rarely see my wife or kids but when we're on vacation we spend all our time with each other. does anyone find it difficult when you have to come back to the 'real' world and how do you cope with the withdrawl?

Yes it's always hard going back to normal, especially going back to work! So depressing! I find it helps to start planning my next trip to WDW even when it seems a long way away. Also getting my photos printed and putting them in my WDW album and checking out everyones trip reports etc.

we will probably only ever be able to afford to go every other year, if not longer. i hate it! eventhough i'm right next door to paris, it's just not the same. plus, the price of going there for 4 nights for 2 people could pay for 2 weeks for 1 person in florida.
i come on here, i watch disney movies and disney documentaries. i'm currently trying to own all the disney dvds lol. and as soon as we get a house, i'm totally having a disney themed room somewhere. yay.

Yes it is depressing actually going back. Especially day of. But going back to work isn't that big of deal. I always have a day off just so I can recouperate from the Disney Trip.

My withdrawal only last about a week. But then a few months later I am dying to go back. But when I get back I look at the photos that I took and some video. I will also listen to Disney park music as well.

We only get to go every couple of years so when we do go, it is truely bitter sweet when it is time to leave. I get by with visits here daily, watching trip videos on you tube and listening to a CD I got last tripped "4 Parks - One World."

I consider myself very fortunate to be able to go once a year. But it is still extremely hard to leave the place. Maybe a lot has to do with the fact that as the OP said, I don't see my husband and my son nearly as much as I want, and when we are down thee we are focused on family...

I try to cope by planning another trip, by reliving the memories, i actually just pulled out my honeymoon scrapbook from our first trip together down there. I do take a little while to stay away from sites like this and all, just so I can try to have some down time. Though it doesn't last very long....

It is very hard I do agree...that and I start counting down once things are in place...its all I have.

I found it very depressing after our April 2011 trip. It was just a great trip, and I want to go back. I keep telling myself that it is too hot. We are at record breaking temperatures where we live so it has to be hotter there. Also more crowded than I would like. So I just stay on the Disney boards looking at other peoples pictures and repeating too hot and too crowded. Also I've started digging out old souveniers that I still have from my sons and husband and myself that I've kept since 1976. I found my sons goofy hat with the ears and teeth. I've taken a picture to email to my son. He won't think I'm crazy because he is talking about us going back in 2013 with his family. He is a Disney nut too.

This site keeps me from going totally insane. I'm always thinking about my next trip.

Ditto for me too.
Once I'm home, I try to keep the trip alive by working on a photo album. Then I start considering when we can maybe get back there again although it probably won't be for about 2 years. And in the meantime, I check this site everyday for interesting news and any ideas I can use in planning our next trip.

Retail therapy. :lookaroun I spend a lot of time in the Disney Store at the mall, Walmart, Target, Forever 21, and disneyshopping.com. I know Forever 21 is a long shot but I do have a few Mickey shirts from there. Its a problem though because the money I could save for a vacation I probably spend some of it on Disney stuff at home

It's always so hard to leave. We don't get to go every year either. Sometimes it's 2-3 yrs before we can get back. Walking out of the park on that last day, walking out the doors of the resort, the ride to the airport or starting the drive home, always hard. I've never been able to do it without a huge lump in my throat. It's just such an awesome family time for us. We all LOVE WDW and have so much fun together while we're there. Knowing it may be 2 yrs before we get to come back makes it much harder.

This site really helps. Sometimes I pull out the books or vacation planning DVD's. Those all help a bit, but nothing really helps as much as planning the next trip!

The Disney Blues.

Awful stuff. I always seem to have them. At least if I have a trip somewhat planned I can mock plan constantly...but right now we just returned in May. So I know there is not a possibility of a trip for at least another year.

I am trying to plan an NYC weekend trip so the planning for that can take my mind off Disney. But it doesn't help much. I try to plan the beach or something else but it's just no Disney.

:cry:at least a year until my next Disney trip! WAAAAHHHH
