For people who don't go very often - how to you get by when you get back?

I am suffering such Disney withdrawal today that I actually just created an itinerary for a trip in December 2012 that we haven't booked and don't even know if we're going to be able to take! How lame is that? :hammer:

Not lame at all. I have a rough estimation that we will be going to Disneyland in April. It's a long shot but it might happen. Either way I am treating it as if it's happening.

Anyway, I get my fix by going to other theme parks in my area and these boards help a lot. Another thing, I like to live vicariously through other people. If someone came back from a trip to WDW I hound them and talk all about it. I found that is a plus as well.

Well we tend to go every year to year and a half and when we're working i very rarely see my wife or kids but when we're on vacation we spend all our time with each other. does anyone find it difficult when you have to come back to the 'real' world and how do you cope with the withdrawl?

It is hard. I tell you, you fall into such a lull while in WDW because it is so safe that you can let your hair down, not be so street aware, and just live in a safe, relaxing?, and fun, family environment. Getting back home to crime, the economy, traffic, the drag of work makes you want to stay in that Disney state of mind.

My wife and I plan to, after we retire, move to the Orlando area and work for WDW. That kind of gets me through between trips. Might seem lame, but it works for me.
