flying tinkerbell from castle

The Tinkerbill theory has been around for a long time:shrug:
From what I have read the line capacity is around 100 pounds so it better be a small guy.

what? thats funny. i don't know why it'd only be 100lbs. maybe forced prospective to make tinkerbell look more 'fairy-sized' haha

You know, I'd be willing to dress up like Tink to slide down that zipline.

I wonder what a 6'4" Tink would look like?

This is as close as you will ever get.

Okay, where the heck does the zipline end? Everytime I see her come down I have always watched the whole way and I lose her at the end. Even in that picture posted above there is nothing conclusive to where she lands.

By the way, there is no way that zipline is only 100lbs. capacity. Are you kidding me?

The zipline isn't a 100lb capacity line, but there is a 100lb limit. The 100lb limit is on the cast member that is Tinkerbell. The reason for the limit is because from the moment she comes down from the castle to the landing it is all momentum. If she weighs too much she will go too fast and probably get hurt in the landing and if she weighs too little she won't have enough momentum to make it to the end and will have to go hand over hand to the landing.

Incorrect on your "limits".

Speaking as someone who is an ex-Ent Tech and worked the Tink crew a bit - all the ones in 2008 at the MK were female...really cute females at that. There is a weight limit and momentum has a lot to due with it although line capacity has a lot to do with it as well. I worked on the "catch "crew and you'd be surprised (actually you probably wouldn't), how low tech the process was to stop Tink. The outfit itself is pretty heavy too - the wings are rigid, the wand is connected with a thick cable, she has a battery pack on and the "hair" is actually a helmet shaped like Tink's "do." I believe we had 2-3 Tink's we rotated through. I can also tell you that trying to hit the mark with the two spot lights is pretty tough as well (takes a bit of practice) since the spots are nowhere close to the line.

If I can find it - its on my computer somewhere, I actually took a pic of the zip line from the landing point facing the castle with my cell phone one day when we were doing a line test...I'll post it when I dig it up.

Ah, here it is. This is when I was standing next to the line from Tink's landing point. Sorry for the crappy quality, I didn't have a great phone at the time...
