FLE, best land ever?

Where? There is not much space left behind the present FLE and the berm with the WDW Railroad. And most of it is swampland, just watch when you circle the park with the train.
The FLE pretty much uses up all the remaing space that could be used without HUGE and expansive efforts to gain more space.
The remaining expansion areas of the MK are elsewhere, mostly in Adventureland and Tomorrowland. Fantasyland ist done, not much space for anything else.

Are you saying the land on the other side of Magic Kingdom Dr (within the berm) is not usable? Because it's a substantial amount of land that could be used for a couple of attractions. There would only be able to be one entrance (from between LM and Storybook Circus) plus maybe a stop on the railroad.

Of course, the other expansion that could occur for Fantasyland would be if they get rid of the Speedway and use the part between Dumbo and the teacups for a FL ride.

They could easily get rid of the speedway and make a Alice In Wonderland themed area.

You guys are so much more knowledgable about the park's layout than me...I can only bow to your superior grasp of the facts (bows). But I hope your take is the more accurate, DoctorNick...it would be a shame if Fantasyland has indeed stopped growing. There are so many great Disney characters and lands that would make terrific attractions. The Enchanted Forest would be the perfect place to give them a home. Here's hoping...

You know...this could be just the beginning. More attractions could be added to Fantasyland until it's a big sprawling inter-themed masterpiece. Wonderland could be added, as could Neverland, a Villains area, a dark ride based on Epic Mickey...maybe even Oz. The expansion we have now hints at lots of potential. I'm through bellyaching about the shortfalls in the Mermaid ride and "Story Time With Belle's" over-focus on the kiddies. I'd like to think about the possibilities hidden within the concept of the Enchanted Forest. Some truly wonderful things could be invented for it. Here's hoping...

Most optimistic post of all times?

I highly doubt we'll see any more Fantasyland expansion happen (at least for a very long time). But there is some space behind Small World for a potential ride based on Beauty and the Beast, could probably be perfectly possible to do such a ride there. There's actually a lot of land behind the current expansion but still within the berm of the train track. I'm not sure if they'd be able to develop it however due to the small body of water (where I'm assuming the fireworks are shot off from).

Land that could be repurposed into other Fantasyland rides would be the extra tents in Storybook Circus. Also the speedway could probably be done away with and would most likely be large enough to house several dark rides. Or perhaps one huge one. A small part could be used for an Alice in Wonderland ride. What is left over looks like it would even be large enough for something related to a Tomorrowland E Ticket even (maybe Tron). Looks like it takes up a relatively huge chunk of land. Not to mention the sad loss of good space at Snow White's old ride building to a Meet and Greet, maybe some day new leadership at Disney will think smarter than that and put a ride back in there.

Always been a little put off at where Small World was placed. Besides creating a bit of a bottleneck between it and Peter Pan, it's taking up a lot of space and leaving little for any other rides in that area, the bottleneck also ensured the facade of the building would never be able to live up to any other Small World on earth. Great ride that I wouldn't want to see gone, but I wish it had been built beyond the berm of the park like the other versions. Seems like the ride just ended up being badly placed and took up more space than it should have. Bit disappointed in whoever designed its position that way originally...

Wow you guys are always negative. It's as if someone presents you a lobster and you complain there's isn't any shrimps on the side.

The OP asked aesthetically if it was the best. I'd probably say yes. That said, it has stiff competition else where in other disney parks. That said, it's no doubt the best land in all of Disney World, and has certainly raised the bar themeing wise.
It''s more like people paid the full price for a gourmet lobster but were instead served a cold platter of fried shrimp. The platter might have been designed nicely from a visual standpoint (and might not really taste bad), but the substance is still lacking. And the fact remains you paid a massive premium for something you expected to be a fresh hot gourmet lobster meal and what you were served just isn't worth anywhere close to the price you paid for it.

FLE is extremely pretty. But i'd hesitate to call it the best themed land even in Magic Kingdom. I'm a bigger fan of Adventureland in that regard. And both classic Epcot and Animal Kingdom beat FLE from a visual standpoint. We'll see how well it holds up when it's actually completed though. There's no doubt in my mind that FLE majorly improved Fantasyland from its current state though.

Please don't forget that TL Speedway is a TL attraction, if it would be scrapped (and I assure you I cannot wait to see this horribly outdated, loud and annoying enormous waste of space to vanish) the space it covers would be used for a TL expansion!

And yes, the land on the other side of MK dr. is only swampland (of course they could drain it to prepare it fpor construction but that is expensive) another problem is that you see the HUGE backside of the buildings of BoG.

Not necessarily. There already is a designated TL expansion plot. If the speedway was removed the space could easily be repurposed for Fantasyland. There are no zoning laws in the Magic Kingdom!!

Not mention that the Speedway has a huge footprint. If it were to be replaced, they could easily create an attraction for both Fantasyland and Tomorrowland in its place.

This got me curious....

Is there anyone here who has been to Wizarding World of Harry Potter and not seen the movies?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the land. I have this feeling it only feels so amazing to people because we've wanted to go there since the first movie!

Actually at least concerning me it's the same with Cars Land. I am only so thrilled by the idea of having a Cars Land in DHS because I really love the movie(s). Before I saw Cars I was not very interested in the Cars Land project in DCA but after I began to grow on it I knew that some day I have to go to DCA to see Cars Land.

I first visited, experienced and was wowed by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter without having seen any of the films or having read any of the books. I have since seen each of the films once, but I've been back to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter several times. I know I am not alone in being impressed without a prior connection to the book/film series.

I hope/think that the same phenomena can occur with Pandora. If that land is themed in as detailed a manner as it should (and how the FLE and Cars Land have been done give me hope for that), it could be enthralling to a person who has never seen the movie.

I really do not at all see that level of complete execution throughout New Fantasyland. Cars Labd is better, and closer. Regardless of how well done Pandora is, if it clashes with Disney's Animal Kingdom, which is still so strong in theme and message, it will not likely win people over.

Very interesting! Was the visit after the movies a bit more special?
