Trip Report First Trip Report and it's LIVE

The lure of SWW along with another 24 hour event at MK proved too much for me to resist. Booked rooms and flights for 5/18 through 5/27.
No kiddos this trip as couldn't miss school. My boyfriend did agree to join me on day 4 so at least I'm not all by myself! I was kind of surprised he took it so well, but I'm thinking he likes the food here and he wants to ride Soarin again

I'm jealous, I would love to do the Star Wars break feast at Scifi. That's ok since you were so kind to share some pictures with us. Great report.
Oh it was fun. I'm really into character dining anyways, this was really a special treat. And I love the Sci-Fi venue so it was a double treat to watch Star War shorts and dine and have character interaction

Day 6 we overslept so didn't make it to MK til 7. Very light crowd. Entered into Adventureland and rode Jungle Cruise and POC headed to Splash with a FP and got wet. Rode BTMRR twice and caught train to Main St because we have to go pack and check out. I have another BOG FP for lunch today at 1pm. Sure wish this bus would get here...

Got this cool button when we exited park

Great start!! Just got here ourselves last night (3 AM after all of the weather issues), but we were at the MK by 5:40!!! You are right about the crowds. We were able to do so much (including the Mine Train which was posted as 120 minutes, but ended up less than 25) this morning that we are back at the GF about to hit the pool. Ill be looking our for you later. Have fun on the rest of your trip!!! Cant wait to hear more.

Ahh y'all made it, great!! Just in time for the great heat wave. We finally got checked out of SSR and checked in at CSR after a slight backtrack to SSR when Jim realized he had the safe key in his pocket which meant a whole lot of cash was still in the safe.
Oh then at check in at CSR it was sorry no Cabana Section, so I was sorry I'm not staying here now, but they fixed the misunderstanding happily.

Two hours later we are headed to AK for lunch at Yak&Yeti...then Epcot. Wow this bus showed up fast too!

Have fun at the pool!!

Illuminations dessert party....compared to Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party, overpriced for what is provided. I'm glad I'm trying it but I won't do it again. While the venue is nice...it's not real comfortable, not enough tables, no seating. The offering are good even though limited. And of course I'm listening to Jim about the $50 bucks a person cost.... We're now up to 6 wines...he's getting my $50 bucks worth in bubbly I'm thinking

Thanks for the review of the illuminations dessert party. We do that tomorrow. Are you making your way to MK tonight?

Omg! I'm so excited for our trip in July. These trip reports just get me even more amped up. If they were to do a Star Wars meal other than during SSW I'd be all over that. Even though it'd be like an extra 200$ cost for me (if the price is abt 30 per person). Because you know, Star Wars. That would literally be the only character meal boyfriend would agree to (though I think if we did 1900 Park Fair he'd come away liking it) for this trip.

So woke up kind of late and had breakfast at Pepper Market
image.jpg

This is the Creme Brûlée French Toast and while good I could not taste any creme brûlée. No I didn't even eat half of it, huge portion. It could have fed 4 people.

Headed out to HS running like heck to make the parade since I bought some kind of event deal that have you priority viewing for the parade and fireworks.

I was so excited one of twenty pics came out with him in it

Best picture I took of the people in the parade. Who is she? I love her hair.

It was pretty expensive. I think like 48$ pp. IMO, of the 3 special new events I paid for: Illuminations Dessert Party, SW parade and fireworks viewing dessert party, and the SW character breakfast at Sci Fi, the breakfast was worth the $100 dollar bill for the two of us. Good venue, great character interaction, our meals were good and served hot even, and really good service.

Had a great day at HS yesterday. Watched the parade, drew Bolt, which mine looked like a first graders attempt, rode Great Movie Ride, TSMM, and watched Indiana Jones show all the way through for the first time which was quite funny. OMG the AofA movie was hilarious with Mushka the dragon from Mulan as a character example.
Had a late lunch at Mama Melrose's. Ordered the steak with mac n cheese again. Did not disappoint.
The 3 highlights were Warwick Davis in An Ewoks Tail, 13 minute trailer clip viewing of Malificent, and this character M&G I did. She was awesome.

This was the best M&G I ever did. She was regal, great headpiece and her thumbs were painted white like mine which she noticed and remarked she was happy to see that tradition being practiced by other cultures

One thing I have really noticed at MK and HS and even Epcot a bit is the FP machines seem to stay pretty busy. Haven't seen real long lines except yesterday at HS. But every FP location has several CM's. That's another expense of MM+ that I don't think will ever go away. The FP+ method is labor intensive.
