First Time to Universal

According to Universal, as an on-site hotel guest I get to jump the lines. Wow, could definitely use that in WDW. The more people keep telling me about certain things, the more I kind of look forward to going. I guess I am so familar with Disney that I was kind of hesitant to go to Universal, but now we can't wait. After all we went to WDW 4 times in a row (twice in one year).

Thanks Mom for all your help.

Oh Miss Lilo!

I've been pretty curious about staying on Universal property myself - I LOVE a new adventure! :)

I trust you will grace us with a very detailed trip report?

I would LOVE to stay at the HRH or Portofino...both of those hotels look beautiful!

I'm gonna consider a weekend trek down there to try it out :) (Who cares if the weekends are busy...I'll have Front of Line access :) )

We will be staying at the new hotel Pacific Royal (?). It just opened in June-July 02. It is the more moderate of the three. Portofino is the most expensive with HRH coming in second. As you can guess it will be like the Poly at WDW. A detailed report? Well, I'll try. If you remember I started ranting and raving about my Thanksgiving trip. Gave too much in the first few posts that there was nothing left to say. I guess I'll do the same again. Give my opinon of the hotel, restaurants and the lines (or lack thereof). Anything that really stands out I will definitely let you guys know.

Anyone else who has any recommendations, please tell me.

Here's a recommendation...have a green eggs and ham sandwich...then ride StormForce Accelatron 4 times in a row :)

OK Freak. Read my earlier post. :brick: We will be there JUNE 27 THRU JULY 2, 2003. I know - it will be hot, it will be packed (but we have that jump to the head of the lines pass), but it is the only time we can go. My son's last day of school is June 26 and he was supposed to start camp the following Monday, but we figured let's go on vacation. Hopefully, we'll luck out and it won't be that bad as far as weather goes. Maybe you should meet us (I could use a babysitter for a couple of hours;)

Babysitter??? ME??? Yes, I'm really good with kids...but come on... :) (Don't you think people would worry if they asked where the kids were and you said, "Oh, I left them with a Freak" )

When are you going to Universal?

(you will catch on soon)

I'd gladly babysit for a free trip to Universal :) (they can't be THAT bad  )

And...wannabebelle huh... ;)

Ok, babysitting will be easy enough..."Off to Suess landing" Nuff said :) (pump them full of Moose Juice...which will give them Brain freeze and then they won't be able to act up :) )

Nah your kid couldnt handle good old Auntie Belle!!! He has too much structure for me. Bathtime is at such and such a time, dinner is exactly and so and so time...nah I prefer to fly by the seat of my shorts!!!!! As I told you I went to Universal the studios side and I just wasnt all that impressed frankly. Make sure you hit the Hanna Barbera ride though, that really was pretty awesome. Or better yet come in May when I am going and have a few days in Disney to run around threadless with the DH!!! Doesnt that sound like fun!!! Then go with the Munchkin and do Universal!! Belle:rolleyes:

Without structure I would have a kid that's worse than Big Michelle's:lol:   . Or better yet, like Lisa's.

On the weekends and vacations its anything goes as far as bedtime, bathtime or eating. Which is why I hate Monday thru Friday.:brick:
