I just thought I'd like to pass the time waiting for my next trip by reading and sharing first memories of past trips to disney.
My first memory...
It was my first trip to the Magic Kingdom and I want to say I was around 4 years old. It was my Mom, my Step-Dad, my Grandma and my 5 year old brother. (that I recall) We started by heading over to Space Mountain. I was deathly afraid of it, just from what people were saying I was screaming not wanting to go on... it was fast moving, in the dark and it made a horrible noise as the coasters were cycling. Just not for me. My brother, on the other hand, was quite excited wanted to show how much braver he was than I. Well, we come off the ride and I'm grinning from ear to ear begging to go back on... and he's turning green saying he's never going on a ride again.
Shortly after that we all went to pick out a souvineer from grandma. I picked out a set of goofy ears... a big green top hat with ears that hang down. And then I fell asleep under the watchful eye of grandma while mom and dad took off to have some "them" time (which I now appreciate much more being a parent). When I woke up... my ears were gone. Someone had taken them off of the head of a sleeping 4 year old while my grandma wasnt looking.
Yes my first true memory of disney is me getting something stolen. Oh well.
I still love the place, despite losing my first set of "Ears".![Big Grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
