First Magic cruise cancelled!

Looks like they're getting ready for their final Coast Guard inspection. A refit requires lots of detailed tests and most vessels will practice at least once while underway.

Also, makes me wonder if they have done their stability tests since it was reported that they were still removing storage containers over the weekend.

Seeing them nose to nose, I must say that I much prefer the look of the classics as compared to the Dream class. Just a much more elegant silhouette. They try their best to hide it in the Dream class, but as most newer ships, they are just too top heavy. They still beat most other ships in the looks department, but I like my ships less high I guess!

I was just thinking the same thing.

Likely they were running final Classification inspection tests on the new machinery. Sometimes they cannot test things at the dock. It also looks like there may have been a speed test near the end of the southern run.

The USCG is involved with lifeboat, fire and other drills, not so much machinery tests at this point.

Well looks like they have had enough, if you look at the destination there sending the Magic back!
