First Look: Gringott's AAs

God bless the "Ignore" button.
Not a lot of movement evident in these short, unfocused clips, but there really shouldn't be. Just as long as he AAs are well sculpted, maintained, and move naturally!

They are snobby bankers... they aren't supposed to be doing jumping jacks!

Look at the guys in the background of the scene from the movie...

Besides the guys stamping... most are focused down in their books and ignoring people.

What I don't get is their head shapes look goofy to me. Like the top half of their head is too big and fat or something. They just don't see to have the same kind of proportions of the goblins in the film. Something looks off

Great to see AA's being used. They are not up to the level of Disney's best, but still great to see.

Yeah, the new video shows them better, but under close scrutiny the movement doesn't look all that natural. It seems to lack that compliance in their motions that make it appear more natural. The guy looking up at you looks pretty robotic in it's precision.

I doubt you'll see this in the staging of the set, but it's good to see they've gone with the 'populated room' and not the empty set of MiB!

Yep agree with that. Universal have never got compliance with AA's. But for a queue area, it is impressive.

If one of the Goblins is addressing the guests, perhaps this is more of a preshow room than a queue. Seems kind of big for that, but then I haven't seen any switchback ropes in the other videos.

Do none of the various mummies have compliance?

I don't believe so. That is where I have always thought their AA's look particularly weak. They move very robotically and wobble at extremeties.

I think the subtle movements work perfectly given the environment we're supposed to be encountering them in. They aren't supposed to be swinging around dramatically while they work at their desks. It's true that Universal has never been able to match the quality of Disney's newer generation AAs but the fact that they even bothered to put several of these in the queue speaks volumes for the scale and scope they're going for with this expansion.
