First look at the 3D Model

Interesting... I could see how it could be the queue and there are 2 seperate Tea Cups to speed up wait time.

And Goofy, did you notice Casey Jr Food/Souveneir stall is gone? Think this could mean they are considering the attraction?

Hm, could be. I mean the whole food stall idea I guess is gone. But let's hope it's incorporated as the attraction. Who knows. I mean I'm pretty sure they aren't done with this yet. The PH area looks white so that means it is not yet painted and the coaster looks bland same with the Train Station. So who knows.

Another thing not really seen here...Walkways. While the big ones are a must, I certainly hope that there are little paths and nooks and crannies to, well, explore! :D

Yea, construction will start. I'm just saying I doubt anyone will see any of it from the park. The land being used is basically flat, undeveloped land, meaning foundations must be put down before anything else, and the area is blocked by visual obstructions already in place in the park..

See, now, where's the WDW Magic spy satellite when you need one?

Am I the only one who fools themselves from time to time that Google Earth is really looking down in real time? Wouldn't it be great to go there every few days, hit "refresh" and see new construction?

I think it was diverted to DL...more happens there...

Isn't PH and Dumbo still in early concept?

And now that you see a ride is going where the flowers are in the art it gives it a totally new perspective and feel. :)

I like this idea. It's one of the reasons DHS has moved up in my list of favorite parks. Because TDO keeps the theming up throughout the park it's nice to wander through the little alleys and sidestreets. Hopefully the FL expansion will keep up that tradition.

Exactly why DHS grew on me this part trip. So many little areas, and so much theming. WS, too. You have to love that sense of immersion and of really being taken to a new place.

Two of my favorite spots in the WS: the alley in France where Boulangerie Patisserie is located, and the small cafe and alleyway in Morocco. Neither is usually crowded, and it's always a good place to lose yourself for a little while from the huddled masses.....

DHS is filled with lots of little pathways? Like where? Lookin at the map and thinking about past memories I never really remember DHS having a lot of those. I remember a lot of big open areas and not a lot of places where you could get away from all the crowds.

I like the Pooh pathways here and the Cinderella pathways.

Y'all remember back a few months ago when I said to trust the plans and not the art?
Remember that?
That goes for the model, too.

Just sayin'.......

Even though I am beyond excited, this is probably not the real model. I tend to think Disney has a better grasp on the internet and viral marketing than they get credit for. This is the company holding a $1.5 billion dollar tech project so close to their chest their arms are crossed. I must admit I think the blueprints were not really leaked; however, if they were, would Disney really let another "leak," especially of a half finished model, happen?

While I do not doubt this model is authentic, I doubt it is the entire expansion. If this really was a reactionary expansion (Potter!), Disney would want to drum up as much fanfare as possible. I think this is simply a teaser to prime the pump. If half painted models are this fantastic, imagine and speculate about the complete design. (What Disney wants!) I would not be surprised to see the D23 event turn into a bigger teaser for a big media event later this spring.

Needless to say, Disney has my attention and the faith, hope, and excitement of my inner child. I am confident, as an adult, this will be a great project. I cannot wait to see the finished product.

I always take my time to walk down past the ABC Commissary to the Writer's Stop. I can either sit inside and have a cup of coffee, or I can sit in the small bench area across from it (yes, I know it's a smoking area, but my Havanas usually give me some room to myself :)). Then I'll sometimes head down from the Writer's Stop to courtyard where the Muppets 3D show is. Save for the holidays when the CMs are filtering the crowds through to the Osborne Lights, that courtyard never seems overly crowded.....

Kind of reminds me of a axiom from the Cold War: Trust, but verify. Unfortunately, in this case, both are a little difficult to accomplish....:lookaroun
