Trip Report First 6 pack Vaca!

Who: Top to bottom, left to right.

Me (Dolly Parton made a song of my name ), Hubby, Bear(8), Handsome (5),Ninja (8) and Jet (10).
What: We were supposed to go on a 40th birthday extravaganza for me back in March both of our extended families were set to join the festivities. When COVID hit we changed locations to Arizona however I still wanted my Disney fix. So we are surprising the kids on their last day of school and heading to WDW. This will be our first family vacation without any extended family (no grandparents, cousins etc). We are excited to spend quality time with our kiddos.
A few pictures from my 40th celebration.

Where: AOA Cars family suite. The girls love AOA for the Ariel rooms however since we don’t have the grandparents to bunk up with we are trying out the Cars suites. Handsome adores Cars so it was a no brainer when choosing theming.
When: May 27-June 1st, 5 day tickets with Park Hopper. I totally goofed on Park reservations. I booked a lot of DHS in the beginning to make sure we had a chance at ROTR. Our younger 3 haven’t been to WDW since 2017 since our last trip was to DLR. Well long story short by the time I went in to change them every park was booked up! So there will be a lot of park hopping this trip.

On to the next mountain! Helpful tips for the 4th!

It was a walk on so we had to go for #2!

We contemplated Splash after this. Of course the kids were in but I couldn’t agree to a soggy bottom all morning. So we made our way to POTC instead. Not sure what we were looking at in this picture?

Hubby and Ninja were taking a nap and again what am I looking at?

At one of the less realistic looking Captain Jacks Ninja says “ Mama I think Jack is drunk!”
The POTC giftshop is my nemesis. My kids want everything in there. I did actually eyeball some ears myself. Anyway Handsome found a sword he was dying to have. It was so early in the day and our trip I didn’t 1. Want to carry it around all day 2. Have him want a million other items on the trip later. I pleaded with him to wait and he finally gave in. (We let our kids pick 1 souvenir only each trip, so they have to choose wisely) After this the girls were itching to conquer another mountain. So Space it was!

We conquered the Alpha side. The Omega would have to wait...

Because we were on a mission to see Stitch! Ninja adores him and I wanted to brighten her morning after the watch incident.

And it worked! Look at that beautiful smile. Next up gave us all a smile. A first trip on the people mover! Everyone was complaining (even Hubs) as we walked up to the ride. It’s too slow, I don’t want to go on that boring ride. I convinced them to go to see Tron up close since I apparently live with coaster junkies.

Next up the speedway. It was pure drama because not everyone was tall enough to ride solo.

Lord help me when Bear turns 16! She could not keep this car straight!

Oops I forgot our ride on buzz! This is a family favorite however everyone fights over who gets to ride with Dad.

Now back to the speedway ride. We finished up and decided to head back to Fantasyland. I had read online that the lavender teacups spin the fastest. We decided to test this rumor.

The results are in whatever teacups dad rides in goes that fastest. Hence Ninja’s expression “Mama you are just too weak!”

Temps were starting to climb again and so was Ninjas temper. Her sour mood continued as she declared she needed some dryer lint stat. Normally we always get cotton candy near Dumbo however with Covid there was no dryer lint to be found! However she scored the coveted seat with her dad.

The dryer lint request continued and Ninja was gaining the support of her siblings. Our lunch reservation was not until 12:30 so we needed to buy time. Barnstormer it is however the 10 minute wait in the hot inferno we call Florida was torturous.

We squealed and giggled and had a good time. Then the ride stopped and we jumped off the ride and walked onto the surface of the sun. My girl Ariel was to the rescue. This time Mama was the coveted ride partner since I can recite this movie forward and backward and do a mean Ursula singing impression. Jet had the honor since this ride is special to us.

We decided to make our way to Main Street and scope out snacks while we awaited for our lunch reservation check in. A cavalcade was starting as we arrived and our kiddos were in for a scene. There was a mom who was berating a cast member for the way he spoke to her when asking her to leave the middle of the road for the cavalcade. The poor daughter was 8 or 9 and I felt terrible for her. The mom was swearing and yelling, then dad and mom started fighting. Then they were both yelling at everyone around them who was trying to diffuse the situation. Meanwhile the poor little girl in her princess dress just wanted to watch the cavalcade. When the cavalcade finished we jumped in line for some castle pics and what do you know the family cut us and the whole line to be first. I almost said something to the parents but I was so glad I didn’t. The young girls smile was radiant as she posed for solo photos. It to see the only example some kids have in their lives. Anyways we posed for many pictures however handsome was not having it!

We were finally able to check in for our 12:30 lunch reservation at Tony’s. We received a table ready text at 12:35.

The kids ordered the same thing they had the day before at Mama Melrose. Hubby had chicken Parmesan, I ordered a side salad and a side of spaghetti. We were all happy with our selections.

We skipped dessert and picked up two bags of cotton candy on our way out of the park. The pool was calling the kiddos names.

We decided to check out the Big Blue Pool. I was sad to say there was no under water music. I had been telling our kids all about it and then

we still had fun splashing around for about two hours.

After our pool time we got ready and back to MK!

We were quickly greeted with a cavalcade.

We had missed Small World in the morning so it was our first stop.

Hubby’s long arms are good for something!

Shortly after this picture there was a boat pile up. We all sat waiting for about 10 minutes. I was hoping for a ride evac since the song was starting to drive me nutty!!! Finally we moved along.

We had dinner for the first time at Peco Bills. I forgot to take pictures. We were just too hungry! It was 6:30pm and we decided to hop in line for Splash. Ninja loves Princess and the Frog so she is very excited for the ride refresh. In the meantime we really enjoyed our splash.

We attempted a ride pose. Go bucks! We were all craving something sweet. For me that only means one thing.

You can see how hot it was because my Dole Whip insta melted.

Ninja’s was soooo refreshing. I should have ordered two.

Next up a quick flight on the magic carpets.

The kids wanted another ride on SDMT so back to Fantasyland we go. She’s so pretty all dressed up.

The posted wait time was 40 however we waited 30.

Why are night time rides so much more exhilarating? We were running out of steam and it was close to park close so we decided to go ahead and call it a night. However we needed some more pictures on our way out.

Bears favorite color is blue so she loved the blue lights on the castle.

We had about a 20 minute wait for a bus. We were all dragging our feet back to the room.

Sorry for the delay we were wrapping up our summer swim, track & softball seasons. Summer is halfway over for us. Where were we...

Sunday May, 30- AK Day

I again woke up at 5:30 got ready, laid out clothes, started breakfast yada, yada. However instead of bouncing out of the bed eager everyone moaned and groaned and stayed in bed until the very last possible minute. I remained calm and realized the only rush was my own. I needed to take their pace this morning. We took a few pictures around the resort on our way to the buses.

We timed it very well and only had to wait a few minutes for a bus. We were on our way by 7:00am.

They were opening the gates right as we walked up.

We walked the same way as everyone else however we are all fairly tall so we were able to stride it out and make it to Pandora quickly.

This was all of our first ride on FOP. Sorry for the blurry ride picture. It’s the only proof I had.

OMG we all loved it. Unfortunately I am one of the people who have long lasting COVID taste/smell loss (Since December 2020) so I couldn’t get all smells however it is still such an amazing immersive experience. We were off by 7:50am.
