I hope Henry Mystic was right
Didn’t it turn out that he didn’t actually know anything?I hope Henry Mystic was right
Can’t even remember atp tbh, I think it was a bit of both lolDidn’t it turn out that he didn’t actually know anything?
iirc he said it was largely from "looking at trends".He didn't know anything special. When challenged on his source he slyly said it's from knowing how to look in the right places.
IOW... he guessed.
That was a strange couple of days in October.iirc he said it was largely from "looking at trends".
Interestingly they also had also done the Hershey's Really Big 3D Show that use to play at Hershey's Chocolate World..And the Animation looks much better before they went all motion capture.
Hard to believe they made this...They also did the on-ride film used on Mission: Space from 2003 until 2017, when Industrial Light & Magic completely re-animated the Mars film from scratch, and also created the Earth mission animation too.
Threshold also animated the updated 2012 ride films for The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Islands of Adventure, but you can probably tell Universal Creative give them a bigger budget since it looks much visually appealing and stunning then their prior work.
P.S I never knew Threshold also animated Figment.
New signage & paint job for the building, for sure, but I’m thinking that ‘99 signage should just go entirely. (And on that note, also bring back the left and right directionial signage that shows where the Magic Eye Theater and Ride are respectively. If they’re gonna change the signage at all, I’d much rather it be restored back to the 83-98 sign, but enhanced to feature both Dreamfinder & Figment on it, rather than Kodak’s logo. Maybe with the purple/pink spiral logo aswell.I made this a year ago in photoshop for a bit of fun... If they ever redo the pavilion, a new paint job and signage would make the building look much nicer.

Thinking, maybe in the center, where the Kodak logo and “Presented By Kodak” is, the spiral symbol/logo should be placed, but it should look similar to this art piece, in that, each window within in the spiral should feature a preview of each of realm of imagination in the ride. (Art, Literature, Theatre, Science, and Film) but in the center circle, it should feature Dreamfinder & Figment together. :New signage & paint job for the building, for sure, but I’m thinking that ‘99 signage should just go entirely. I think the building was repainted to match Kodak's branding colors (yellow and red).Does anyone know why they repainted the building red in the first place? Not that I dislike the red color, I'm just curious...
To match the color of the Honey I Shrunk the Audience color aesthetics, as the ride was then (of course) rethemed in ‘99 to match the film playing in the Magic Eye Theatre at the time, an extension of said theme to be a backstage tour of the institute holding the awards ceremony in the film. A mistake IMO, the original blue & purple was much better, but it is what it is. Still think that film would’ve been a much better fit at DHS than EPCOT, somewhat near where the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground once was, certainly would’ve fit much better thematically, but yeah.Does anyone know why they repainted the building red in the first place? Not that I dislike the red color, I'm just curious...
The same colors as Figment's sweater, now that I think of it!I think the building was repainted to match Kodak's branding colors (yellow and red).
Yup! Kodak wanted Figment to be their color scheme and that sweater was Tony Baxter meeting them part way. Originally he was going to be green but Kodak said people would associate him with Fuji Film. The same colors as Figment's sweater, now that I think of it!
Haven’t seen photos from a day after per se but there ‘is’ a photo taken during the transition/construction I’ve seen before. This one:I wonder if there's any photos of the 1983-1998 ride just after it closed, around October-December 1998. Horizons closed forever January 9, 1999 and there is a picture of the outside of the closed ride from a day afterward.
Aw man. They should have had a second thought...Haven’t seen photos from a day after per se but there ‘is’ a photo taken during the transition/construction I’ve seen before. This one: View attachment 854345
