Well if the rumors are to be believed, we would see the figment ride updates around 2032 (50 year anniversary)The new meet-and-greet makes me happy, but I wonder how long the current ride will last. 2030s?! 2040s?!

That’s not too badWell if the rumors are to be believed, we would see the figment ride updates around 2032 (50 year anniversary)
That's still almost a decade away. Do you know how dated the ride will feel in 2032?! Just look at the CGI on Figment. So so bad. In 2002 it looked passable I guess but by 2010 it already looked very cheap. It's just such a glaring issue. And 30 years of this version is ridiculous. Again I don't hate the current ride, but it should've been reworked at least 5-7 years ago.Well if the rumors are to be believed, we would see the figment ride updates around 2032 (50 year anniversary)
I agree and wish that they would update it sooner - this is the classic disney cycle though; when things are good stop investing and focus just on milking the guests at the cost of deteriorating brand value and quality; then try to play catchup but have it always be later than we want and/or not as good because they have to fix so many things that have become dated. Like even with Epcot's overhaul being "complete" you still have so many old and dated things in World Showcase + SSE + Figment + Living Seas + Mission Space. So it's like where do they even start? That's still almost a decade away. Do you know how dated the ride will feel in 2032?! Just look at the CGI on Figment. So so bad. Epcot is definitely not "complete". Not to mention Wonders of Life. It will sit abandoned possibly for another decade or two now that the Play Pavillion has been cancelled.I agree and wish that they would update it sooner - this is the classic disney cycle though; when things are good stop investing and focus just on milking the guests at the cost of deteriorating brand value and quality; then try to play catchup but have it always be later than we want and/or not as good because they have to fix so many things that have become dated. I'm wondering how bad the 2030s will be for EPCOT at this rate. It'll be completely soulless by then with these changes.Epcot's Overhaul was a huge nothingburger of wasted money and poor decisions...and left a lot of it cancelled... I hope to see them earnestly making EPCOT better someday, but after this multi year Epcot Reimagining, I am not hopeful...
Are you serious? Devon and Cornwall from Quest For Camelot came out in 1997 2 years prior to the PBS show and ironically Devon Looks way more like Figment and Oddly enough voice by Eric Idle (Nigel Channing) while Cornwall is Don Rickles (Mr. Potatohead). This was WB's attempt to have their own version of Genie.....Than didn't work out too well... Actually quite a few people mistake Figment for a Dragon Tales character. I've always thought Wheezie was Figment but female and attached to another dragon's body (Zak's).

He escaped his glass pyramid jail cell. Who knows where he'll show up next. You all probably saw the infamous bucket just made its way to Shanghai, complete with exclusive tag and strap
I'm really intrigued what's going on there, as this follows the exclusive pin and straw clip. Is it just a "year of the dragon" tie-in, is it seen as an USA import of something known to them as wildly popular here the way we'd see Duffy, or is it testing the waters to see if he could sell both in Asian markets and also outside any context of the ride or media involving him. They want their money at least.
Genuine question, why do these footprints get removed from time to time? I know it probably has something to do with maintenance but what about these requires that?So I was at Epcot today, and when I got off JIIWF, I noticed that the figment footprints have returned! View attachment 822353
