Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I'd definitely like to hear more about them.

I don't think it would be a big deal for them to be leaked at this point, since none of them are ever going to be built.
I agree. I know there were plans for Inside Out and Figment and Dreamfinder but what else? Wreck It Ralph? Honey I Shrunk the Kids?

Martin said in an older post that inside out was the only IP based proposal he knew of at the time

There's definitely not 70 pages of speculation here and more in another thread where this was hashed out. And Martin definitely didn't say this project is at least 5 years off now and nobody is thinking of doing anything.

Do we know of all of the proposals to change the ride?
I know zero details other than the budgets. I was given two 5 year plans, one had a $280 mil budget for Imagination, the other had a $350 mil budget. Both were dated ahead of the 2017 D23 Expo and both have changed significantly.

FWIW, both had Guardians, Ratatouille, Brazil and Imagination as the 4 largest budgets.

Edit: Also to reiterate. This is old information and I do not consider it accurate anymore.

That's the whole point of this recent conversation, though.

I know nothing is going to happen anytime soon. I personally think they're just as likely (if not moreso) to tear the whole building down and do something totally different than they are to build a new ride in that space, but either way I wouldn't be surprised if it was 10+ years away.

I'm interested in more details about the earlier proposals because they definitely aren't happening. I find unbuilt attractions interesting.

My annoyed tone comes from people repeatedly saying they think this might be on the back burner and a few more years off... as if it wasn't both obvious and mentioned by people who know vastly more than me. I get my Figment threads mixed up sometimes but there are nuggets to be found, especially if you look for posts by certain members in the sea of speculation. We have not been able to get much hard info on what the proposals really included (other than what RSox detailed above) but I enjoy most of the armchair engineering posts fantasizing about what could be. At least those that would involve Dreamfinder. But enough about what I like and don't like. I have to remind myself from time to time that nobody cares about that

interesting.....and the pattern always seems to be any budget for Imagination always gets chopped up and moved to something else instead even when its earmarked for it, which is sad.

I agree. It drives me insane how much the pavilion has been ignored. Like I’ve said in previous posts on this thread, they’ll be forced to do something with it at some point, but we just don’t know what. Hopefully whatever replaces V3 is an actual ride, and not another high end booze bar🙄...

Maybe that high end booze bar will help them get a better budget for Imagination.
