EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Punch in the gut for any Schnookums & Meat fans seeing their dead corpses..

That's not their bones, just their pasta shapes.

No news since the initial article, and all this news over the past couple months of movie productions getting shut down at studios across Disney?

…....yeah that figment movie is totally dead

Maybe we’ll get some cool concept art or a story outline in 5-10 years!

And honestly, with how risk averse modern Disney is, because Haunted Mansion 2023 and Jungle Cruise both didn’t do well, i honestly think that aside from pirates, ride based movies are probably done for a while.

I didn’t, but i respect your opinion. I think HM’s problem was that at times it felt too focused on the wink-wink “putting in ride refrences as a plot point” that it wasn't a coherent story. I honestly think, at this point, the “Haunted Mansion Movie” dream needs to be let go. That del toro mansion movie could’ve been something special though.

Plus, Disney sold haunted mansion stuff this Halloween and some at Christmas time, and from my friends who work at a spirit, apparently it all sold out a bunch of times. So maybe, haunted mansion doesn't need to be a movie anyway.

Also did we really want Jared Leto in mansions around the world? And to an extent, the rock in the jungle cruises?

But yeah figment or whatever.

It wasn’t bad, but I was really hoping they’d go into the history of the house with the hatbox and bride storyline taking place in the 1800s. The whole ‘modern family gets wrapped up in supernatural situation and makes jokes’ has been very played out in recent years

They're nuts. The movies didn't suck because they are "ride movies." They sucked because of the script, music, direction, cinematography, and acting. All horrendous. With talent, they could make great movies on ANY subject.

Haunted Mansion '23, Jungle Cruise, Tomorrowland were all bores. Cant be surprised audiences didn't react.

Figment would probably work better as a TV character. A wishbone knock off where you throw him into bunch of public domain stories and promote the magic of imagination and reading. Keep it low rent. Figment is a hand puppet (that loves eating hats) not CGI and all the sets look like a high school play. Your imagination fills in the blanks.

But if it isn't star wars or simpsons reruns the company isn't interested in putting it on disney+.

And now we have the technology to make this work more reliably...Bring back the original layout and create an even more immersive "Dream Port"...Add a full restaurant to the pavilion with imaginative food... a Speakeasy Bar themed to Dreamfinder himself...maybe a collection of beautifully designed steampunk inspired flat rides in the area surrounding the pavilion ...a "Garden Of Imagination" There is no reason a pavilion based on "Imagination" should not be the most jaw-dropping , fantastic pavilion in the entire park.
