EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Yup, beyond sad & frustrating.. Figment, Dreamfinder & their whole pavilion deserve SO much better.
No joke, there's a part in the video where during the finale when the screens "explode" to reveal Figment's imagination, the ride malfunctions and you can't even see all of the Figments as the screens are still there blocking the view.

There's one thing I am curious about. Prior to August 2010 when Kodak let go of the sponsorship, there was an exhibit with Figment appearing throughout. It seemed to be some sort of interactive stage activity:

What was this like? I'd love to see some more footage of this. It looked pretty cool (not "OG ImageWorks cool", but still cool).

It's where the color sound wall/Simon like game is now shown here on the right hand side just as you enter imageworks...

And here's what the show was like in 2004..

Someone mentioned how Figment should go international for investment...

Shanghai anyone?
They’ve been releasing merch there actually. There was a little straw and a Figment figure w flapping wings that got released there to success I believe. As did the Popcorn bucket But yeah, not sure how upper management took the results of that, let alone how the results turned out. But I hope they did well! Weird thing is though, they didn’t release that same straw clip at EPCOT for whatever reason. Not entirely sure why, but again, hey, if it’s getting the message to those in power at Disney that Figment, Dreamfinder & Journey Into Imagination deserve a bigger investment , that’s a good thing:

I'm sure if they had built JII around 84 at TDL in Tomorrowland...It would have still been there with more enhancements as OLC wouldn't have it changed in any way...And if it wasn't for the obsession of Orange Bird out there we wouldn't have had a big comeback of him back in the US parks.

Speaking of..They've only realesed a Sipper of Him and not a popcorn bucket as of yet..

DISNEY IS ALLERGIC TO FIXING THE IMAGINATION PAVILLION.

on the bright side, maybe we’ll get a clone of this in the future or something, idk if it happens. Wonder if dreamfinder will show up. How would they word this at d23 without ing people off lol.

You can hear unique Figment voice lines too! + unique animations. I wonder if the raw audio + animations will ever be uploaded.
If there isn't even actual source audio of the ride out there besides the finale song...Then I wouldn't hold my breath....

Yet here we have source audio of the original.

The atrocious 2nd version

And the 3rd version and it's the pavilions outdoor loop and the source version of the finale....

It's a shame they haven't released the 3rd version yet..But, I'm hoping someone out there will get there hands on it..

I have always wondered how the source audio for the first two got out there.

When did this site suddenly get invaded by old school fans of PBS Kids? Has Iger messed up so badly that WDWMagic is slowly transforming into PBS Kids?
You’d be surprised at how many fans of animation, regardless of where it comes from, have interests that cross over.
Being someone who helps run a PBS Kids server on Discord...I certainly resemble that remark
funny how no one has yet mentioned that PBS has broadcast a technically Disney show before: Bill Nye the Science Guy

I saw a comment earlier citing Tony baxter saying Disney would only invest in a new attraction if they NEEDED to. However the release of the golden book, international merchandise, and other things, seem to hint that Disney is at the very least interested in doing something with figment; and perhaps maybe the ride. Disney can only put it off for so long before they need to replace a pre existing Epcot attraction for expansion.

The original.. folks back in the day used to be able to access the sound control room, and through whatever jack I believe was meant for headphones to test each channel of audio, they’d bring a tape recorder w them, connect an audio cable from the headphone jack to their tape deck’s microphone/input jack and just, play each part of audio or mix of audio and hit record.
Second version, guessing someone contacted the composer or someone close to the development of said ride and got the audio tracks.

I wish someone did that with all the music and audio in Horizons.
