CR is definitely a better coaster than RnRC. But aside from it being a fun coaster, there isn’t much to it. The story is ridiculously bad and there’s little to no set pieces to marvel at. It’s no masterpiece.
Hagrid’s on the other hand is quite great beyond it’s coaster track.

That’s nice for fans, but borderline insulting right? Play the music and hopefully the fanboys will forget that the ride has been rotting for longer than the original has ever existed with no apparent plans for an update.

super nice, but a super slap in the face at the same time. spend millions on a giant buddha of moana and her gardens that should have gone to AK, and let actual existing attractions rot.

If the guy from the Festival thread is to be believed, the huge Figment push this year with the Odyssey retheme is Disney gauging interest and testing the waters to give a WDI "Figment Team" the go ahead to do something more substantial

This is the biggest Disney has brought out Dreamfinder outside of fan events in a while, and it’s not even for an anniversary event. I definitely think this time, they want to do something with them.

The only thing that would make this even better would be a recreation of the rainbow tunnel. The “Sensor” and “Rainbow Corridor” signage at least was marked for the archives back when it was finally removed.

If the biggest Disney is willing to bring out Dreamfinder in public is a faceless voice in a temporary lightshow with not even a mention of the character’s name I have no hope.

And then...There's "those" kind people..
Yet look at the comments there. 99.9% of folks are upset in the comments saying that Figment & Dreamfinder are wonderful characters, how much they love the original ride, etc. and that he’s crazy… I think ‘that’ speaks volumes.

Let's say if they had done this ride in Tokyo..They would be Praising Figment as much they had done with the Orange Bird out there several Years ago due to his Kawaii like appearance. They would have had tons of merch featuring him

Excellent video. Those are my thoughts exactly.
It's a shame the character has been absent from the park so long that reintroducing him could theoretically be detrimental to the current park.

Detrimental, how?? Lol! It’d only do the park & the company good. People loved him all the time he was there, no reason that wouldn’t be the case now. He’s got the exact same timeless charm, creativity, memorability and impact as the other Disney characters& attractions of yore. Nothing more.

Detrimental to Iger’s BS/non-withstanding plan with the company & the parks. But certainly not the long-lasting, successful legacy pioneered by Walt & the OG Imagineers.
