Don't believe everything you read on Micechat. (I don't think I need to explain why...)
Good gossip...but take it all with a BIG grain of salt.

They wouldn't create a new production specifically for one park on one side of the world, to then have it shipped across the ocean for DL's 60th, and then sent back after 1 year... because "HK gets rain". That's ridiculous. It just doesn't work like that...at least from what I've heard over the years. Ridiculous in cost, and it's wear and tear on the physical production itself. It's hard enough to ship things cross country without problems. The only possible thing is cloning that new HKDL parade for DL (as they do with attractions). But I don't see that happening either, as that isn't Steven's and WDI-CE's style, to clone brand new productions at the very same time (unless they had to, which they haven't yet). I highly doubt that. Plus, Steven posted a while ago that his 60th Anniversary DL ent. pitch meetings went very well... which doesn't add up to Miceage's gossip.

So, is MSEP going to go back to DL for the 60th then?

So my boyfriend and I, and our friends, are going are going to get to Magic Kingdom at opening and try to secure a spot. I know it may seem like a bit much, but we're all very excited to see something new after all these years, plus we're on Spring Break. We're a combination of cm's and ap's. I also plan to go see the parade throughout the week as well.

Where do you think is the best place to watch the parade? We, of course, have our favorite spot, but I think it's interesting to see where others like to watch the parade.

Also, does anyone know where the Fastpass+ viewing areas for the parade are? I don't want to be sitting somewhere for hours, only to be asked to move.

I think Sunday is going to be very interesting. I'm expecting a lot of chaos on the parade route leading up to 3:00.

I have heard that CM passes are blocked out for the first week. I think it was few pages back. Im not sure on the FP- areas. But if the parade starts in Frontierland, i enjoy watching it before the bridge. Or as it comes down MS.

I believe FP+ viewing is in the hub, so I would probably avoid that area. Town Square flag pole area looking down toward Cinderella Castle is a pretty great spot, though I imagine that will fill up quickly. Personally I think anywhere along Main Street is good for parade viewing. If you like a bird's eye view, try the Train Station, which also gives a great view of the fireworks. Have fun on Sunday, make sure to report back to us after the parade!
Also Elsa is wearing her coronation dress in the parade!
I am very stoked that they'll be wearing the coronation dresses, considering the regal look of the garden float. Looking through social media, anticipation is incredibly high for this parade. I'd imagine the parade route will be packed to the brim on Sunday and throughout Spring break.

I've read that FP+ viewing for FOF is in the hub, facing the castle. The area looks quite big, but is most spacious dead centre. Good luck with getting a space!

If there have been updates and I'm late then forgive me :p

For me I'm torn between Frontierland where FOF first steps off or Main Street which will be awesome, however the bad thing about Main Street is you will hear the music and see the floats coming ahead of time from the hub.. I think I rather hear the music and see the floats before the rest of the parade route :p. How about you guys?

So if the parade route fills up right at park opening and it's that crazy causing crowd control issues and guest complaints.. Could they make a unplanned change and pull a 12pm performance? I know you guys said the current plan is only 3pm.

I highly doubt it will fill up at 9:05, I will be shocked it it does! I don't think DL even did that for POD and RDCT on 5/5/05. How fast can they get a parade together? Since we're on that topic, How fast is F! and MSEP put together when they add showings.

Well my thinking is they are planning on one at 3pm not knowing how crowded it will be, but they might be prepared for a 12pm performance if need be. They did that time slot for CADCT many times on busy days and Sunday sure will be busy!

parade steps off at 3... no earlier and hope to god no later... you have to be mindful of the things that go on backstage as well, its not like CM's live there and they tell to go at a moments notice

And I understand that.. I just meant they could have a last minute plan in place if need be that hasn't been said to anyone. But like everything else, we wait and see.

CM's can't get friends and family into the parks for the first week (unless they use a comp ticket), but they can enter for free by themselves just like any other day. Of course I have my AP as well, just in case.

I found out that the FP+ viewing for this parade is between the backside of the Walt and Mickey statue, all the way up, facing the castle. I'm thinking of standing towards the side of the castle, by the bridge leading towards Fantasyland (not in the walkway). I like to have the floats coming at me and the castle in the background. My other favorite spot, at the end of Main Street, may get too confusing with everyone entering and passing by throughout the day. Also, if Disney decides to film anything or reserve any spots for opening day, that's where they're going to do it.

Maybe 9:00 is a bit insane to get there, but we are very excited to be there for the debut of something new. I promise to report back after and during as well!

Can anyone please tell me what classical piece is used for the melody in the videos about the parade? I think it's Mozart. Please, it's driving me bonkers.

I get what mnelson3 is saying. More than likely the parade route will fill up quickly which will result in upset and angry guests who will not be able to find a spot. We are not doubting your insider knowledge but you have to agree its pretty crazy to schedule only one performance on what is guaranteed to be a very busy Grand Opening day.
