Festival of Fantasy Parade coming to Magic Kingdom in 2014

If you're talking about the music in the background for the Fashion Show, that's the parade's music.

Yes that's the one, but it is clearly inspired by a classical piece... I think it's Mozart. I'm still hunting for it... someone help...

The new costumes are colorful, interesting, and I cannot wait to see this parade. But, my overriding feeling after seeing the costumes -
Some of these costumes are very POINTY.

Especially the bird-like ones with the 8-foot wingspan. One misstep and someone in the crowd or a fellow CM is going to get hurt. Has any manager looked at these clips or the photos? Once any single person in HR or legal sees this parade, the pointy stuff is going to get filed down, or disappear altogether, so we can't "put an eye out"! The birds with the 8-foot wingspan are liable to end up looking like those ridiculous 1-foot angel wings they put on models some years back.

Not even going start about the metal spikes on the "running with scissors" dragon float!

Yawn. I'm sure all points on the wings are covered safely. This is a brand new modern parade that I'm SURE was designed with safety in mind, especially with such a kinetic dynamic.

Since it's been so long since MK's had a brand new parade, it's hard to say. It's clear that many Disney fans will be there, and in addition to the general public who will pretty much see any parade scheduled at 3:00, the route is guaranteed to be crowded. If anything, by 1pm, some of the good spots will be taken, but I would think that it won't start getting packed until an hour before the parade.

How early did guests/fans line up for CADCT's Opening Day? Yes, it was a remolded parade but The energy at the flag pole that day was as high as the last day! (I wasn't there but I saw it online. It started at Splash BTW.)

Add to that, in my memory, this has got to be the first Day Parade Referb in MK's History. So, People may be more than willing to line up. They haven't lined up in the daytime since Jan 4, 2014.

I don't think anyone knows what to expect Sunday. Unfortunately that was the case with the 40th and Unleash The Villains.. nobody expected it to be as insane as it was. At least MK can handle craziness unlike DHS.

How busy was it on opening day of SADCT and the 25th Remember The Magic? Granted crowds back then were not anywhere Near as bad as they are now a days!
Can't really compare to Soundsational as DL held previews.

l know the 25th had rain in the morning, and a 1PM start time for Remember The Magic. SADCT opened with post 9/11 crowds. Did Remember The Magic even come back after 9/11?

My CM friend heard a rumor that CM's are blocked from the Magic Kingdom on Sunday. I know our main gates are blocked next week but does anyone know if our passes to get ourselves in are as well?

On the topic of crowds, any guesses on what the other parks in and out of WDW will look like on Sun/Mon? Not that l would go anywhere else but MK if I was down there. Just wondering if Daper Day and FOF's opening would effect the other parks.

Hmm interesting. I asked one of my other CM friends and she heard from entertainment friends that it's just our maingates that are blocked but we can get ourselves in. I work at MK and plan on asking tomorrow just to be sure because I'm off Sunday and was planning on going.
