Some interesting permits today. These four Buena Vista Cosntruction permits all say "Investigate Location of Holiday Arch". I wonder if this is going to be something to replace the garlands over Main Street which they won't be able to use due to the height of the FOF floats.

Investigate Location Of Holiday Arch, 1365 Monorail Way (MO7 - MK Admin) - BVCC
Investigate Location Of Holiday Arch, 1375 Monorail Way (Emporium) - BVCC
Investigate Location Of Holiday Arch, 4710 Caribbean Way (Casery's Corner) - BVCC
Investigate Locaiton of Holiday Arch, 4720 Caribbean Way (Emporium) - BVCC

Am I The Only Person who Hates Mickey and Friends Outfits and thinks Disney could have given the other Characters New Outfits instead of their Meet and Greet ones

Here is my proof that the costumes are not good.

I was under the impression that Lights of Winter was little more than scrap metal at this point in its life, left to decay somewhere outside backstage in a condition too dilapidated and cannibalized to use anymore. Is it actually still in some sort of usable (or easily fixable) form that it could actually return? Or is this something entirely new and unrelated? Miss that old thing a lot, would love to see some form of it return. Especially a new one with programmable LED patterns. I'd say Epcot is in much more need of it than MK. Still, it looks quite nice in castle parks, i've seen pictures of it on Main Street at Disneyland Paris and it's quite lovely IMO.

We really don't know what this is going to be. Based on the phrase "holiday arch", the location of the permits and the fact the FOF parade float heights would make the traditional garlands impossible, it's safe to assume this will be some sort of Christmas arch over the street. It could just be decorations without lighting, it could have static lights as part of it, or it could be something more like LoW. If I had to guess I would say the section option.

It would have been the icing on the cake to have more of the characters throughout the parade have custom designed costumes (as they usually do in other Disney parades). Particularly the opening and closing unit.

It's probably a good thing we never knew the original plans and what FOF Could have been had a lot of the budget not got cut :(. Still a very good parade and I love it! but I have a feeling the original plan would have been ten times better and included all the stuff we would now like to see.

As much as I agree, every parade (maybe outside of Tokyo) goes through the same process of cutting form the original plan. Generally, a parade is drawn out with all the bells and whistles and then some. When it reaches the cutting room, a good portion of those elements are cut. So even though FOF had to go through it, it's not uncommon for entertainment.

That pretty much goes for the creative process for anything at WDI - whole parks, lands, attractions, parades, etc... Even in other aspects of the ent. industry, you basically always start out creating as big as you want, and then you mold it and cut it into something that is actually doable according to resources, budget, logistics, etc...
(Even projects for TDR go through that)

It will be performing twice daily the week leading up to Easter. If you look at the Magic Kingdom daily calendar, it list the parade to perform at 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
I was planning a trip and I noticed this yesterday. I was going to post something but I didn't know if anyone had already mentioned it! Whoops!
