The more I look at this, the more I roll my eyes at someone calling this "steampunk".
It looks more like something a renaissance blacksmith (or witch) would build, rather than a Victorian machinist.
"Steampunk" has grown to include a lot of things over the past three decades. Like it or not, anything that's mechanical, anachronistic, and fantasy-related is going to get the steampunk label, most likely.
