They're just sort of there.
*sigh* You do have a point... Something I wish I had more power and influence over. There are so many things I would like to see done with Disney Transport to make it more fun and exciting for the guests...
However, the best I can do is make my own bus ride the most exciting, fun, and memorable bus ride they've ever had. And while most people enjoy my chatter... they'll get off the bus and move along... There are a bunch of people who will of course remember me... and then say, "Hey! It's Bob the Monorail Pilot!" and that's always a great thing... ("Bob the Monorail Pilot" is part of my speil... I'll say, "Once again folks, My name is Tyler, and on behalf of Chip & Dale, we hope you've enjoyed your ride with us this evening. However, if you did not enjoy my jokes or this ride, my name is Bob, and this has been the Walt Disney World Monorail System." Always gets a good laugh... hehe)
The one special thing about Disney busses and bus drivers though, that sets them apart from others... For me... it's my Chip & Dale bus... if I'm running my last run out of the park after it closes, I'll have Chip & Dale on my marquee. I've had guests get out of thier car to take pictures of me and my bus and the plush chipmunks on the dash... They love it. And if I've just emptied out my last guests... and I have some time left over before I have to clock out... and I see some guests waiting to get somewhere, I'll take 'em. Often times I'll see some guests that had dinner at one resort, and need to get back to thier resort, so I'll just take them directly. The flexibility that my job has allows me to make people happy... that's why I think the busses can be great.
So if you ever see a Chip & Dale bus at night... chances are it's me taking someone home.
