Just curious to hear what your favorite treat from Werther's Karamell-Kuche, the caramel kitchen store in Epcot/Germany is? It hadn't opened yet when we were there last September and I can hardly wait to visit this fall!!!:)

I didn't have anything from there but really wanted to try the Apple Pie Caramel Apple.

Hoping this helps you before you get there!

My family went there in December and we were not that impressed. Most of the itmes that were sold there could be bought around DW and many of the items were just Werther's candies. The items we tasted were ok but not great. My wife had the caramel apple pie and liked it. Check it out when u go.

OMG! We missed it by 4 days too! We were hoping for a soft opening...kept stopping by and listening to the hammering going on inside. Were you the other quest trying to spy through the brown paper on the window??? We thought it was just us!!!! lol :ROFLOL:

That was us! We couldn't see anything inside. Can't wait to try something. Apples are fruit and health for you, if you don't count the caramel and chocolate. mmmm... LOL

I agree!!! I consider any fruit "healthy" no matter what may be covering it...it's like "chocolate covered raisins":ROFLOL:(which by the way are fantastic from Goofy's candy kitchen or any of the main gift stores in the parks that sell the "bulk" candy...they're huge--they look like chocolate covered grapes!!!)

Snack credits can be used for the smaller items (that caramel marshmallow roll thingy which was YUMMY, small bag of caramel corn, you get the point). Those Caramel Apples are $10 and not a snack option.

EDIT: You can actually see in the above photo that none of the items have the snack logo/icon/whatever it's called!

We were at WDW thi past weekend and stopped in for a snack. We had the chocolate covered strawberrys which were good. I also bought a brownie for later and it was not that good. Ended up thowing 1/2 away. We will get an apple next time to try.

We went last fall when passholders got a free small bag of carmel popcorn - it was terrible, very soggy and chewy. We were so disappointed! I'm pretty tolerant when it comes to snacks, expecially free snacks, but I couldn't eat it. I wondered if they had yesterday's popcorn ready for the passholders but it certainly didn't make me want to buy more.

I bought a big chocolate cookie filled with caramel (not sure of the name), it was fine but the chocolate didn't have much of a strong taste.

With all that said, we'll be visiting other WS shops for snacks in the future.

Some of my favorites are:

Caramel Corn - (so good) buy it behind the counter.
Chocolate & Caramel covered strawberry
Caramel square covered in dark chocolate

This place is so good that it is my favorite place to get a treat in all of World Showcase. :slurp:

I went right after it had opened and had one of the Chocolate cupcakes with a caramel frosting. The frosting was exceedingly rich to the point that it hurt my teeth and the cake was on the dry side. However, there were a lot of other really tasty looking treats and it was busy and they had just opened so I will give the benefit of the doubt that things may have been a little off.

I had a caramel apple and a dark chocolate & caramel covered strawberry in November. Both were super yummy. I loved when you buy the apples they'll slice them up & put them in a box for you. That's really nice. Makes it easier to share or nibble a little at a time.
