Favorite removed DCA stuff

Looking through this thread, it's funny how DCA has become so awful we now enjoy the less than stellar opening day version. Sad!
Oh, dca is not awful. If anything it's still the same. I mean what's really new at dca 2.0 besides aesthetic stuff? Carsland, GOTG, and soarin'. Everything else is pretty much the same, even pixar pier is just paradise pier with pixar figures added.

It was foretold by the Disney Gods that Chicken Little would reign terror among DCA, wreaking havoc and destroying everything that wasn't worth of the Disney name.

Ok, I'll bite... How does Mulan fit into Pacific Wharf? Only connection to China I can think of is there's a Chinese quick service place there.
Yeah. Theme isn't limited by location. It's why we can have Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square or Cars Land in DCA. Logically neither of those make sense, but thematically they do. Theme has more to do with what feels right vs what is correct. Pacific Wharf is a (small) collection of different cultures in California such as Chinese and Mexican. So while Mulan isn't set in California, it has the same Chinese themes represented in Pacific Wharf. I'll also say a Coco boat ride would fit pretty well in Pacific Wharf as well. Only real problem that I see is that there's no space for either of these attractions. If it was up to me, I'd remove Cocina Cocumonga and place a Mulan dark ride there and then remove the parade warehouse between Paradise Pier and Cars Land and place the Coco boat ride's show building there. Also while doing changes there, carve out a walkway between Paradise Pier to connect it with Cars Land.

California Screamin' the resort's most thrilling attraction and a unique, world-class coaster, has been given the world's most obnoxious overlay since "Garfield's Nightmare" at Kennywood. Tower of Terror now looks like a macaroni craft project. Pixare Pier in general features crass, cynical misuse of great Pixar films; it really is like a Mad Magazine parody of what Disney would do with Pixar--and I will never be on board with the post-Dinorama "It's *supposed* to look awful* excuse for low-budget tackiness. And Soarin' is a lot crappier now.
What's aggravating about all this is that the park was headed in such a great direction right up through Cars Land and Buena Vista Street. The classic Mickey & Co. theme for the pier was really coming together. It's almost like some moron at Disney pulled the brake lever and said, "Wait, this park is looking too good. We need to screw it up."

I miss this:

Me, too. Walking or riding toward the gate on the first day of vacation used to be an attraction in itself--all that anticipation and excitement!!! Approaching DL from the side--unable to see the entry until you're right on top of it--just isn't the same. On the plus side, there's no longer an "adult" theater on Harbor Blvd. visible from the Monorail...

A Kennywood reference...nice. I actually showed my brother the Garfield ride on YouTube the other week so he could understand my mocking of it. It's bad enough on its face but even it's worse when you understand the importance of the attraction beneath the overlay.

I was talking more experience wise. Pixar pier is just paradise pier with pixar characters, incredicoaster is just screamin with annoyances everywhere, hollywoodland is pretty much the same as it used to be, only with different "experiences", and every other land is pretty much virtually unchanged.
