Has anyone ever noticed a kid doing something priceless or funny around the parks or on a ride? I was just thinking about it while I was responding to another thread, and I was curious if anyone had some good stories from around the World.

It's so hard to pick a favorite moment! One of the things that really makes the magic for me is seeing all the little kids around us and how they react to everything.

One of my all-time favorites was the day we were leaving Chef Mickey's and we saw these 2 little girls walking up with their parents. One looked about 5 and the other about 3. Both were dressed like perfect little Minnie's, walking along, eyes sparkling with excitement, holding hands. I grabbed the DH and whispered "Why didn't we have any girls???" They were precious!

In 1992, I went to WDW with my wife & son and her family, including her sister, her husband and their two children and her mother. The first day of vacation it was raining pretty hard, the kids were in their rain gear and we went to MK. Things were a bit quite and we walked through the castle, turned to the left and there was Mickey Mouse. All alone, except for an escort with an umbrella. The kids were amazed. Mickey posed and hugged and even with the bad weather the kids were ecstatic. It really was special.

My son's first visit to WDW was in 1993 and he was 6. We drove down from Chicago on a Saturday and my sister was flying down on Monday evening to join us. We visited the MK on Monday and my sister had told me "make sure you do Small World before I get there, I can't stand that ride." We rode Small World as ordered and when my son got off the boat he said "we have to ride this again when Lolo is here. She's going to LOVE it!" Fast forward to Thursday and we are back at MK now with my sister. My son grabs his aunt's hand and tells her that she just has to ride this ride cause "you're gonna love it Lolo, it has all these dolls and I know how you collect dolls." He then drags her to Small World and they ride. She looks at the rest of us and we're cracking up. How could she say NO to her only nephew. After the ride she asked him if he liked the ride and he said "no, I just went on it for you. I knew you'd like it because of the dolls."

I realize this isn't one of the "aawwww" moments. It is one of our family favs though, this little kid doing something precious for his favorite aunt.

Last year me and my boyfriend were watching the Indiana Jones stunt show and a little boy sitting behind us says to his mother, " I FARTED MOMMY, I FARTED!" It was soooo funny. Till this day we say it just for laughs and giggles.

This past December I saw the funniest thing walking out of MK at the end of the night. There was a little boy, probably 3 at most, walking down Main Street towards the train station. Mickey was up overlooking Main Street waving to everyone leaving the park. This little kid was looking up and waving at Mickey with the most shocked, wide eyed expression. He was moving at a snail's pace just waving and in awe. As we're about to walk through the tunnel he's still looking up and waving and BANG! he walks straight into a garage can. I'm not talking a minor glancing hit. I'm talking an absolute dead on hit. I saw him about to hit at the last possible second, but it was too late to stop him. The best part was, he never lost that just jaw dropping looking of awe about Mickey.

We took a family trip in 2000 with my DH, DS (then 8), DD (then 3). It was our daughters first trip. On our first day there we visited AK in the morning, went back to our room mid-afternoon and had a little rest then headed off to MK in the evening.
We were there for Thanksgiving week and everything was decorated for the upcoming Christmas Holidays, which added to Magic. As we walked through the tunnel onto Main Street at MK we covered our daughters eyes, got the camera and video recorder ready and lead her out into the middle of the courtyard area where the huge Christmas Tree is located.
On the count of three, with her right in the middle so she was surrounded by the Main Street atmosphere, all of the Christmas wonder, and could see straight up MS right to the Castle, we uncovered her eyes.
At that moment she gasped, looking up the street at the castle, flung her arms out, spun around, and said, "It's ALL SO WONDERFUL!".
Ofcourse this made my day, and trip, as it was just the feeling I was having as I watched my little girl experiencing the Wonder and Magic of WDW for the first time.
PS...we got it all on video and pictures. And this was a wonderful vacation! The first of many, and "It's STILL all so wonderful", everytime we go.
Heading Back in 15 days!

On one of our many trips down Splash Mountain last Feb, my friend and I let a dad and his son sit in the front row, even though they'd put us in front, since it was their first time on it. They kept asking us if this drop was "the big one." We sort of ruined the whole ride for them, but hey, they asked! At the bottom of the drop, the son (probably around 4 or 5) turned to us and said "Hey that wasn't that scary!" then told his dad "We should tell Mom it isn't that scary, she should try it!" and the dad said "Ohh I don't think Mommy would like this ride," and laughed.

Poor Mommy

One for our family was when my daughter was 2. We had decided to ride Dumbo right at opening to avoid long lines later but as we got there and were about to park the stroller she started yelling, "Minnie, Minnie..." We just told her "Yes, we will see Minnie after we ride." She then jumps out of the stroller and takes off running still yelling "Minnie." I panic and tell my husband to grab her and just as he reaches for her, Minnie takes her by the hand.

Turns out that Minnie was riding Dumbo when our daughter saw her and that's why she kept yelling for her. We hadn't even noticed. Minnie took her by the hand and motioned for us to follow her which we did. She took us straight to Toontown for the opening and we got all of the characters at once, before the other children were allowed to. Minnie personally took us to each one and gave us a tour of her house first. Fortunately I got it all on video and to this day (our daughter's now 12) I cry everytime I watch it. One of those "mother things" I guess but it was special to us.

A funny thing was last summer we were watching The Little Mermaid show and there was a family next to us with a little girl about 5 I would guess. Ariel was singing and hit a note that was WAY off key. My husband looked at me and all of a sudden this little girl says pretty loudly, "Ariel can't sing good anymore mommy." The whole group around her started laughing, including us and the rows in front and behind her. The mother wanted to crawl under the seats I think but it was pretty funny to us!

Every time me and my boyfriend ride Star Tours,we make friends with the little boys on the ride. We ask them what it's like and pretend it's our first time and that we're really scared. They take pleasure in comforting us and saying things like "Oh don't worry, I do this all the time. You'll be fine. and of course "It's fun!" During the ride we yell things like "you told me there were no drops on this!" and we just scream everytime there is a 'close call'
Afterwards the little boys always walk off a bit straighter than they came in, with a "Woah, I wasn't even scared and they were" attitude. It's even better because they're not very good at hiding it.
...Makes the ride every time.

What a great great kid, and what wonderful behavior for a 6 year old. To do something he didn't really enjoy because he thought it would be something his aunt enjoyed. You have a great kid there (and reflects on his parents)

I was in WDW with my two girls a few years ago. My youngest was 5 at the time. (and I have to admit, she is the cutest thing in the world). She tripped on a curb and fell smack on her knees, but because of the way she fell (no foward motion, just straight down) there wasn't even a scrape. So we went on our way. Later that night we were in the Froniterland Pin Store and she is telling the CM this story and she finishes with "And I was not even hurt because Disneyworld is a magical place, and I was healed by the magic of Disney." The two CMs were in tears and my daughter ended up getting a free pin out of it :)

We went to see Fantasmic in March and sat in front of this guy and this cute little boy of about 4. At the end, when Mickey disappears from the top of the mountain as Sorceror Mickey and then reappaers on the stage, this little kid asked his dad how it was done. His dad asked him how he thought it was done and the kid said a slide. His dad pointed out that Mickey changed his clothes on the way down and the kid agreed that it couldn't be a slide. His dad asked him again what he thought and the kid stared at the stage for a moment and said 'Mickey used his magic.' He said it so seriously, I just wanted to give him a big hug! It really made my day!

Ok I have a couple of stories,

Back in May 2005 I was on a Solo weeklong trip to WDW, I watched Wishes, and I was leaving the park walking down Main Street, there was a little boy in front of me, about 4 or 5, and he looked at his mom and said "You know what I like about Disney World Mom? I like that I can walk in the roads and not just on the sidewalk - and I won't get hit by a car!" It was so cute lol.

Then another story (this one made me choke up), a little girl was dressed as Snow White, and she went to get her photo taken with her, and Snow White bent down and told her that she looked just like her when "she was a little girl" - the little girl just didn't know what to make of it, and she just gave her a big hug. Both the girls mother and I (and everyone else in line) got choked up.

I understand those "mother things", and the crying...they grow up soooo fast. Thank God for video and photos. And luckily that they are still just as excited each time we return as they were when they were little.

We had a simiular experience in Toontown in 2002. We had been trying to hunt down Cinderella for years, with no luck. We headed to County Bounty one night during Spectromagic and Fireworks hoping to see a few extra charaters for autographs. We really weren't even looking for Cinderella at the time.
We walked down the long row to the rooms where the characters meet and greet. Only to realize we were the only one's there, and then we were told by a CM that the rooms were closed for the evening and the characters were all gone.
As we accepted that we were just out of luck this time, another CM walked up and noticed the little crown that my daughter had on (she wore it the entire trip actually). He came over and stopped us from turning around and heading back out the way we had come, and asked us to please continue through the back to exit.
As we went through the ropes, he looked down at my daughter and said to her, "Would you like to meet a Princess, Princess?"....What Did He Say?!, we couldn't believe it when we turned the corner to find CINDERELLA herself standing there to meet us!
And not only her, but also her mice friends, MINNIE, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, and Tigger.
They all took their time meeting with our son and daughter and taking pictures, especially Cinderella, who was very generous with her time.
And we did get the video camera out in time and it is still one of our most treasured possesions.

Just returned from being in WDW this weekend with my niece and nephew and their parents, where there were plenty of great moments.

In the Magic Kingdom, my niece, 4, got mad when Mom said "No" about something or other, and made a point of *not* enjoying anything for the rest of the evening... or at least that's what she said. Her face during the rides told a different story. When we got off Pirates of the Caribbean, she told me she didn't like it, but as soon as we got to the gift shop, she ran to the nearest barrel, grabbed a cutlass, and went "Arrrr!" So I think she liked it OK. :) She (a young ballet student) even has her own self-choreographed Pirate Dance.

Before the night-time parade there was a funny scene on Main Street with some other kid, about 6-7ish? He was lying, splayed-out and motionless, on the street several feet in front of the the rope, precise reasons unknown (but clearly just goofing around.) It looked like the aftermath of a crime scene or something. I took a picture that I plan to sell to the National Enquirer: "Tragic Kingdom! The photo Disney doesn't want you to see!"

This is such a lovely thread - being a mum so many of these stories brought a lump to my throat. I was reminded of a couple of stories from our 2005 trip to DLP. DD was only just 3 and we went to DLP for a long weekend in November.

We rode IASW and she was just so awed by it all her face was this cute picture of amazement and wonder and it choked me up so much that I started crying. This made DH laugh at me and gave me the giggles too so I spent the rest of the ride crying and lauging through my tears!

Then we met Minnie Mouse she went up to give Minnie a big kiss and a hug. Afterwards she came back to us and said "Minnie has a really hard face!" It was very funny

Magical Moment

This past September I took not only my DD (2), but also my DM to the World for some girl only time. The time was not only special because we had three generations at Disney, but we also had so many little things.

When we went to ride Dumbo, DD saw that Stitch was riding and really wanted to ride with him, so she asked the handler and she got to ride with Stitch. Then we went over to Toontown and was there before the robe drop. DD was playing in the playground, until she saw Mickey looking out the window at his house. She then ran over to the robe and got to shake is hand (she just thought she was hot stuff at this point). After she shock his hand she moved away to allow other child to interact with Mickey (keep in mind that she is 2 and did this on her own - proud mamma moment here). After he had greated everyone, she moved back to the robe and got chosen, but Mickey to be the Family fo the Day. This ment that we got to have a private tour of Mikey's house and a photo session with him. I have some the greatest pictures of her with Mickey. It really made my day. As we were leaving DD looked right at Mickey and asked him "Where is Minnie?". It was just way to cute.

Next we went right to Minnie's house and she did the same thing to Minnie. Asked her "Where is Mickey?"

I'm a photopass photographer at MK, and one morning I was opening and on some mornings we open main street at 8 for the breakfast crowd (those guests who come early to have breakfast at CRT or the CP) and well..there was this family who had one son. This son brought a friend, and by the way he was looking around you could tell that he'd never been to The World before. I watched him walk all the way down mainstreet gawking with his mouth literally open, and when he got to Casey's where I was standing, he stopped and said "it's huge!!!" (referring to the castle of course)
The people he was with laughed and because I was now standing next to him I added "Pretty, isn't it?" and he nodded without taking his eyes off the castle and then turned to me and said, "Lady, you're the luckiest girl in the world," to which I agreed wholeheartedly with an "Yep."

I then took their picture and had them do one pose in which they were all looking at the castle shocked, as if they couldn't believe how big it was.
It was really sweet.
