What you had was Tonga Toast and it is still served at the Kona Cafe and yes, it is delicious.:slurp:Many years ago probably around 1988 or so I stayed at the Polynesian and had breakfast there. I do not recall where it was but I am sure it was in the resort itself but I had banana stuffed french toast...man-of-man was that stuff good! Second best is the sugared fried french toast at the Crystal Palace breakfast buffet. As you can tell I love good breakfast food!:sohappy: Big breakfasts and late dinners seem to work best for us at with a light mid-day snack at the pool to keep the stomach grumbles away.
I have never had that, but it sounds YUMMY!!Pineapple and caramel dessert at O'Hana's
The old Mickey bars with Mickey's face on them. I don't care much for the new Mickey Bars
LOL. I remember those straws. Since you are going way back, how about "Lite Bite" or "The Village Restaurant" in the Village at Lake Buena Vista.OK, I know I am going to date myself but I am going back about 30 years ago. Columbia House used to have a colonial punch (not alcoholic) and I also loved the paper straws that used to collapse after you took two sips. Those were the days!
I also miss Alfredo's. I had my rehersal dinner there the night before my fairytale wedding. :slurp:
I also miss ALL the transfat foods! Who asked Disney to be the food police? I was on vacation that is what I want to fill up with! My body rejects anything healthy when I am on vacation.
Lastly I miss the Concourse steakhouse too. We had just found that little gem when they started giving the dining plan and now it is gone.![]()
