Crocketts Tavern back before it was just a bar/appitizers. They used to have some nice steaks and what not. A nice Cozy resturant indeed

I have a whole list of places/things that I loved growing up at WDW

Clam chowder in a bread bowl-columbia harbor house: first time I ever tried it and I've been hooked since

Waffle fries-CCH

Lo-mein/teriyaki -Adventureland Veranda: They had the best lo-mein

Tuna salad wrap thing - I can't remember what the name was but I believe it's called the Lunch pad now in Tommorowland

The Odyssey

Strawberry bars- I don't know if they still sell these since I haven't been in years but when I was a kid they had this like weird edible waxy coating for some reason it was awesome.

Many years ago probably around 1988 or so I stayed at the Polynesian and had breakfast there. I do not recall where it was but I am sure it was in the resort itself but I had banana stuffed french toast...man-of-man was that stuff good! Second best is the sugared fried french toast at the Crystal Palace breakfast buffet. As you can tell I love good breakfast food!:sohappy: Big breakfasts and late dinners seem to work best for us at with a light mid-day snack at the pool to keep the stomach grumbles away.

The Tusker House when it wasn't a buffet. I haven't been back since but I just loved the rotisserie chicken:slurp:. It's just a little too pricey now that they made it a buffet.

What you had was Tonga Toast and it is still served at the Kona Cafe and yes, it is delicious.:slurp:

Citris swirl !

And yes I know they still sell a absolutely horrible facsimile of the swirl (which is much more accurate to say it is a orange sherbert swirl....)

I thought is was bad when they switched from a delicious ice cream to a low fat yogurt (!), but on the last trip the final straw was broken when the tangy citrus was replaced with a bland sherbert.

The other that I miss goes waaaaay back to the days of the central kitchen, they used to have an apple turnover that was sooooo good.

OK, I know I am going to date myself but I am going back about 30 years ago. Columbia House used to have a colonial punch (not alcoholic) and I also loved the paper straws that used to collapse after you took two sips. Those were the days!

I also miss Alfredo's. I had my rehersal dinner there the night before my fairytale wedding. :slurp:

I also miss ALL the transfat foods! Who asked Disney to be the food police? I was on vacation that is what I want to fill up with! My body rejects anything healthy when I am on vacation.

Lastly I miss the Concourse steakhouse too. We had just found that little gem when they started giving the dining plan and now it is gone.

LOL. I remember those straws. Since you are going way back, how about "Lite Bite" or "The Village Restaurant" in the Village at Lake Buena Vista.
