Let's help out a lot of the new timers here and let them know our favorite character dinings. Don't be shy. Tell why you like it, too.

Me, i'd have to say Chef Mickey's. It is delicious, fun and relaxing after a long day. The characters float a couple of times and it is yummy. The song they play is catching and it is in a nice atmosphere.

My second favorite is O'Hanas. It is delicious, fun and the waitstaff are funny. My DS loves the parade around with the characters. Their pineapple, orange, mango juice is superb and my DH couldn't get enough of their bread!!

My favorite is the Garden Grill at Epcot. I love the food, and the character interaction is great because you feel like you have a more private meeting with them because of the way the tables are arranged...it does not have that really "busy" feel that Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace have.
I also like that it is served family style. I prefer this to buffets, especially since we have younger kids who are not yet able to get their own food at a buffet....it seems my husband or I always end up missing a character while up getting food at the buffets. I like Liberty Tree Tavern for this same reason.

My top 3 Character dining are:

Chef Mickey's is great - love the characters, atmoshpere and the breakfast!!

Crystal Palace is fun too! I LOVE the 100 acre crew so it is fun to see them all stop by.

Liberty Tree Tavern - if you are in the mood for a thanksgiving style dinner this is great! I have been there a couple of times with different family members and they still talk about dining there!

I really haven't had a character dining experience that I haven't enjoyed. If I had to narrow it down, I'd say that my fave is CRT for breakfast. The princesses are usually really great here and the wait staff is excellent. I also like the meals that are served to you so that you don't have to worry about missing characters.

My second would be LTT for dinner. It is also served to you and the characters here are really unique in their dress. I just like the ambience of the place.

My third would be a tie between Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe. I like the CP because of the beautiful light that is let in through the gorgeous windows here. The feeling I get in here is just great. I like the Cape May Cafe because the character interaction here is wonderful. They really take a lot of time with you.

I have only had three character meals and they are (in order of enjoyment!):
1. Liberty Tree Tavern - love it! (actually eaten here twice and would repeat again with no hesitation), can't fault it!
2. Crystal Palace - had breakfast here last trip and the food was good, character interaction ok
3. Chef Mickeys - had dinner here - imho average food but good character interaction

Is it really relaxing? We haven't been to Chef Mickey's in ages because my only memories of that place was a very loud room with tons of kids running around. Has that changed?

We always try to for to Crystal Palace. We're Pooh fans though, so it makes sense. We usually go there for lunch. About five years or so ago I thought the food was great! It's been just okay the last few trips we've taken though.

I like Chef Mickey's, Ohana, Garden Grill. All 3 of these have good character interaction and the food is decent.

Ohana is my absolute favorite, but Garden Grill is a great second choice. Ohana had a breakfast that kept me full all day and I loved watching my nephew in the little parade around the room. But Chip and Dale were delightful to us at Garden Grill.

Just my two cents...

For me it's Liberty Tree Tavern and Chef Mickey's.
I LOVE the food at both places. At Liberty Tree, everything is very relaxing and enjoyable. My family loves at least one character meal a vacation and it's always Chef Mickey's. As far as LTT goes the characters are simply a bonus for us. We go because of its great location and food.

I don't really notice the noise at Chef Mickey's. I said relaxing because it is a nice sit down meal after a long day at the MK.;)

I am trying Crystal Palace for the first time this summer and cannot wait! DH is a big Piglet fan, too. I hope he's there!:)

Chef Mickey's because you get the traditional characters that must sees and don't have to stand in line later in the parks for autographs.
Crystal Palace because I am a HUGE Eeyore fan so Crystal Palace is a must! Foods not bad either :)

I ditto just about everything above and add that I love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast with Mary, Alice, Pooh & their crews and dinner with Cinderella, her prince and "steps."

Fun, fun, fun!

Another vote for LTT.....I love the food, service, and the over all atmosphere...not to mention you can walk right out and ride HM.

My favorite 2 are CRT lunch and LTT dinner.

CRT has become a tradition to eat there on my birthday. The food is good, and I love eating inside the castle.

LTT dinner is a lot of fun. I love that the food is brought to the table, the food is really good, and the characters are so cute in their colonial outfits.
