What are you talking about? I simply stated that since the Rope Drops are back then the capacity may be going back to normal. This would lead to to conclusion that FP's may be returning. Of course rope drops existed before FP's.

Capacity going back to "normal" doesn't require FPs. They are not coming back in the same way they existed before.

I find it funny people dont think disney would charge as much as universal does...why not? Universal has been the test bed for ages...disney just needed a good excuse to kill free fast pass....as we know it. Legitimately money left on the table in text book fashion.

Your ticket packages just doubled. But remember how great disney is....

I think others have stated that Disney will not offer unlimited line-skipping which is what Universal offers for their prices. Also, a few have suggested here that Disney will likely not offer free line-skipping for any hotel guests. I was fearing the same thing until several people corrected me with this information.

Disney tries to seem a little more egalitarian and that the playing field is kind of equal. They have always sought to kind of avoid the "pay to play" type of line skipping, even though it was happening in a myriad of ways.

Posters ask if Disney should/could offer resort guest a perk similar to Universal.

Sapphire Falls is essentially the same as Royal Pacific. The difference is included Express Passes. For whatever reason the 3 original resorts are grandfathered

Disney should. There aren’t many perks for staying onsite now and you can honestly get a better place for much less offsite.

And I’m saying that as a dvc member

While I agree that they may not you sound very definitive. Why are you so sure? Do you have some sort of information that none of the rest of us have or are you basing that comment off of what you've read on the internet?

You know at first I was totally against the whole paid FP concept. With the rumored high prices we won't be doing it. However with it being so high many others won't either. So if less people purchase it more people will be in stand by. We can all agree that FP slowed down the standby line. So if less people are using FP, standby will move faster. Disney gets their money and the poor peons get a faster stand by. Win-win. Trying to look at this in a positive light given Disney's expensive pay to play model.

Marginally.

I would prefer the old free FP+ return. Learn to use it and your time wisely and standby lines will not matter. Get to the parks early, walk on a good chunk of rides first thing with very little wait, eat lunch, then go ride some afternoon rides with the late FP+ options. Easy.

Thank god the last few pages of this thread won’t make sense to those who missed last night.
I was wondering how much of that would have survived to the morning. Time to get my coffee and see what's left. I'm even looking forward to it
