Is there an example of a state-of-the-art ride that can also handle huge volumes of people, by any park? Half of this thread is people saying "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded!".

Not every new ride needs to be ROTR...plus you can always clone things to increase capacity (adding theaters etc) it comes down to money in thoery you could mirror image anything you want but its not always practical BUT given this is the most visited theme park destination on earth i think it should be higher on there priority list. Another piece of that puzzel is why dont they factor capacity when they design these amazing new systems? If it can move x amount of guests i dont think it should ever leave the page. Yes the light of god should be left on the cutting room floor if need be.

Many seem to forget or not realize some restaurants in the parks are still closed. Some shops are still closed. Some shows are still not operating. There are not parades that thousands can sit on a curb for an hour or more and wait and then enjoy.
ALL THIS WAS A HUGE PART OF DISNEY’s LINE MANAGEMENT SUATEM!!!
Hmmm... Is Disney in part deliberately keeping these things closed/away? It certainly is NOT 💯 a staffing issue.

It did you can go back to the numerous discussions in the past on this site of increased standby times and over allocation of FP.
The causation was never firmly established.
While queues did increase after FP+ was implemented, the increase in wait times was more properly attributed to steadily-increasing park attendance during the same timeframe.

No, its not that far off from what it was. To complicate matters more, there's no shows or entertainment. So people have nothing to do but get back in line for the headliners.
Or meet and greets. I spent a lot of time in lines for characters hugs for my 5-year-old in 2019.

No. That's not how it works. Line management systems do not add ride capacity. You can not have a ride that has 13,000 seats and have 13,000 people going through a standby line filling all the seats AND have a seat for you not to.

Explain where the seat for you comes from. In detail.
Do you ever make a reservation at a restaurant? When you do so, you walk past people waiting (hoping) for an empty table. Essentially, your reservation is causing someone else to wait longer. Yet, we know that reservations are preferred, and when people make reservations, they are able to avoid long waits. How is this different? FP+ is essentially a reservation system. People are encouraged to make a reservation for the ride. People who don't make a reservation end up waiting in line, but again, this is the same thing that happens at restaurants.

Hopefully, Genie+ will enable every ride to be fully reserved every day and we just go from reservation to reservation!!

Today's wait times (and by the way, reservations for APs are gone so it could actually be worse):

Splash: 80 min
Seven Dwarf: 85 min
Space: 60 min
Peter Pan: 60 min
Small World: 50 min
Buzz Lightyear: 40 min

These wait times are the same as July 2019 with FP.

That’s because the value resort rooms are basically a motel 6 with large colorful paint and props to make it “magical

WDW deluxe rooms make more money per guest than moderate and value. That is why Disney prioritized their openings.

The fact that WDW Deluxe Resorts are crap in comparison to others at similar price point is irrelevant.
Of course they prioritized their openings. What’s your point?

Is anyone putting out numbers or at least estimates of what the attendance now vs 2019 is?

I'm sure there are many who would hate this idea, but I like it. I've accepted some degree of line waiting as a necessary evil at amusement parks, but if I can just go from reservation to reservation without waiting in long lines, I'm all for it!
